The characters include:
Brian, Catholic priest; Frank, evangelical engineer; Jean, Baptist housewife; John, religious skeptic and chemist; Malcolm, Catholic philosophy professor; Mary, episcopalian minister; Patricia, atheist high school history teacher; Renee, Jewish computer programmer; and Sophia, Unitarian minister.
The book is great for those new to religious philosophy. It covers everything I can think of about the existence of God and the dialogue and warmness between the characters is inspiring. This is enormously easy to read. Beware, it is a bit corny... but in a cute way.
