5.0 out of 5 stars I wish He'd do it again
Why aren't the excellent singers getting their props? TC's debut CD can run side by side with Luther, Levert, and any other top notch male singer today. I love how he fuses African rhythms with jazz and soul. The voice is smooth, rich and sexy. I do hope he comes out with another CD, because one is not enough from this brother.

5.0 out of 5 stars Glad I found some REAL music!, April 21, 2000
This review is from: Truth (Audio CD)
Truth is the best CD I have purchased in a long time. I can't stop listening to it. It has a rare purity- musically and vocally. This CD is laced with original music and beautiful harmony. Collaborating with the likes of Patrice Rushen, Andre Cymone (played with Prince) and Sonja Marie truly proved to be a fanstatic combination. Music from the soul! Thanks T.C. for putting your heart and soul in your project and sharing it with your fans!

I've waited for TC's project since he sang My Funny Valentine on Living Single. Laced with, R & B flava, african beats with a twist of funk and jazz, this is a must have for everyone's collection. TC has a very unique voice that cannot be duplicated and to imitate would be a waste of time. He's got 100% pure talent and I predict longevity with his music career.

What do you get when you take a television star and get some of the tightest musicians in the business today such as Patrice Rushen, you get one smooth, tight jazz-soul cds, that's what! It is a shame that this cd was overlooked in the United States, it was actually a hit in the UK. I guess they have better taste in music than we do here. That's where I first heard this cd, on a UK webcast. TC really has a good voice, smooth and relaxing. Queen Latifah(Dana Owens) is not the only one from Living Single that can sing!! If you can get a copy, check this one out!!

I have been waiting a very long time for for TC Carson to record. I've heard him sing on Living Single and fell in love with his hypnotic smooth voice. His sound reminds me of Will Downing, whom I am also very fond of. TC's cd is relaxing and mellow. It is the kind of sound I would want to serenade me on a trip or just unwind and relax with that someone special. Although I've only listened to samples of each song via amazon.com, I can still feel all the love and dediction TC has poured into each song. I know this is going to be one of my favorte cds and don't even own it yet. I am looking foward to more great recordings from TC. On Living Single he sang a song called My Funny Valentine. This song really show cased TC's talent ( I hope he will include it on his next cd). I am definitely going to buy his CD and recommend it my friends.

4.0 out of 5 stars Real Music!, March 22, 2000

Great album. Full of soulful sounds and great instrumental backgrounds. If you like Eryka Badu and Al Jarreau you'll like this album. He has a deep soulful voice that creates moods of love, romance and play. This is what real music sounds like!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sultry, Magical, Mood Music, August 9, 2000
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Truth (Audio CD)
This is the most sultry and sophisticated series of songs that I have heard in a long time. T.C. clearly is a master vocalist and his range cannot be matched by anyone currently on the charts (Cisqo, Brian McKnight, etc.). From the scatting vocals evident on "This Time" and "Truth" to the soaring refrain of "My Friend" and emotional falsetto of "Momma's Song, Mr. Carson has range and talent reminiscent of of such great voalist as Nat King Cole, Al Jarreau and Luther Vandross. In addition, the collection of musicians (Andre Cymone, Patrice Rushen, Patrick Gandy, Ndugu, etc.) sharing their talent on this masterful CD coupled with T.C's performances makes "TRUTH" one of the most enjoyable musical moments of the new decade. Why I haven't heard this on jazz or adult contemporary radio is a mystery to me. Then again, Britney Spears is the no. 1 CD in the nation this week, which tells you something about good taste. Neverthless, TRUTH and TC will prevail, Because the "TRUTH" is the LIGHT! Keep up the good work T.C.

THIS CD IS SMOOTH, SEXY, SILKY, AND SENUOUS WITH THAT SOULFUL AFRICAN BEAT. HE HAS HIS OWN STYLE. HIS VOICE HAS THAT DEEP SOUND OF AL JARREAU AND WILL DOWNING MIX TOGETHER. T.C. CARTER IS OFF THE HOOK!

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Music, April 19, 2000
This review is from: Truth (Audio CD)
What great music! What a talented individual. God has Blessed this youngman with a Powerful voice, a voice that can now be heard my Millions. This CD is a MUST! Mr. Carson's style is refreshing and delivered like the old timers in that, there's a story being told through the music. I too was a fan from Honeysuckle Rose (not sure if this is the name of the song but) and My Funny Valentine. I am elated that the union of musicans were able to come together and produce a quality CD. It is simply - wonderful! If you are a true music lover then this CD is something your music collection cannot do without. Thank you TC for allowing me to continue to believe that there are true artists out there. Keep up the good work. Continued Blessings.
