From Library Journal
Although Witkin's (Passions, Random, 1991) latest book is not grounded in scholarly research, nevertheless it contains enough solid information to make it a useful complement to other self-help titles aimed at women. Witkin presents evidence that explodes popular myths about women, such as "Women are not achievement-oriented" and "Women are too emotional." Although the evidence that she presents often has been gleaned from popular magazine surveys, and she is never quite clear how these myths began, the book is long on practical advice and short on psychobabble. Recommended for public libraries.
