The first release as "Truxton" (formerly they went by the band leaders name "Hansi") brings forth this Oakland-based trios solid driving force in full. I've been a steady listener since the first self titled Hansi CD. I can say without hesitation, each progressivce work has surpassed the last, and my high expectations. Truxton delivers a precious blend of emotionaly uncomfortable honesty with gripping narratives reminiscent of disfunctional action adventure films. Somewhere between Pedro the Lion, Built to Spill, Elliot Smith and Weezer, Truxtons debut Cd delivers a meanly addictive audio cocktail.
