5.0 out of 5 stars Try by Bebo Norman!
I highly recommend this cd, it is one of his best work to date. I don't know why this cd got any bad press at all. In his latest work try, he has shown his depth as a songwriter and as a singer. His lyrics are deeply touching and very powerful. One of my favorite song on try, is borrow mine. It is a deeply moving, powerful, encouraging, and hopeful song that speaks of not...

3.0 out of 5 stars Bebo, Bebo, Bebo....
This review pains me. I am a huge fan of Bebo. I have given the first three albums five out of five... now I must give a three, really its more of a three and half. Bebo Norman is a great talent. I cannot think of a voice that I enjoy better than Bebo's. With that said this album is not his best... in fact its his worst. Even his independet release Fabric of Verse...

5.0 out of 5 stars Try by Bebo Norman!, October 29, 2004
This review is from: Try (Audio CD)
I highly recommend this cd, it is one of his best work to date. I don't know why this cd got any bad press at all. In his latest work try, he has shown his depth as a songwriter and as a singer. His lyrics are deeply touching and very powerful. One of my favorite song on try, is borrow mine. It is a deeply moving, powerful, encouraging, and hopeful song that speaks of not giving in and not giving up. In one part of the song, he said, "when you are weak, unable to speak, you are not alone, the God who has save us, will never foresake us, is coming to take us, take us to our home." I promise, you won't be disappointed if you buy this cd. If you are looking for music that will touch your heart, and soul then you will definitely find it in Bebo Norman.

5.0 out of 5 stars Soothes the Spirit, November 12, 2006

I have heard Bebo's music on the radio but if you had asked me to name his songs, I would be at a loss. I checked this out of the library to give it a listen. I played it non-stop from the first time. I renewed it. Then I knew I had to add to my collection. I consider myself pretty picky when it comes to music and the album as a whole must minister to me. I can say this will not disappoint. Bebo is so honest, I find his voice resonate within me and touch the heart of God. It is more worshipful than praise oriented. I can't just pick one song to esteem higher than another. I would consider this a worthy gift to someone, who loves Worshipping the Lord -but they can't have my copy ; )
Those who don't think this is worthwhile may just prefer another style but I think he is definitely going to recognized as one of the greats of the decade. Why are you reading this? Go now and buy it!
Enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth it, April 22, 2007
This review is from: Try (Audio CD)
The line "I'm so tired of it being about me!" in "Disappear" makes this CD well worth buying. That sentiment is very helpful for present-day American Christian culture.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Album, February 6, 2007

Bebo Norman displays great talent in writing and singing once again. He does not sink into the cliches Christian artists sometimes tend towards. Personal fave tracks: Falling and Borrow Mine. This album is a great reassurance in times of doubt in you faith.

3.0 out of 5 stars Bebo, Bebo, Bebo...., February 15, 2006
This review is from: Try (Audio CD)
This review pains me. I am a huge fan of Bebo. I have given the first three albums five out of five... now I must give a three, really its more of a three and half. Bebo Norman is a great talent. I cannot think of a voice that I enjoy better than Bebo's. With that said this album is not his best... in fact its his worst. Even his independet release Fabric of Verse is much better. Some of the songs lyrics just don't run smoothly enough. I guess they kind of feel forced. Still one of the best Bebo songs is on this album Try. The title track is fantastic. So simply buy the other Bebo albums before this one... but buy it if your a huge Bebo fan because you'll like it anyway.

5.0 out of 5 stars First Rate Job - God speaks through this CD, August 29, 2004
By
This review is from: Try (Audio CD)
Although I have and like all of Bebo Norman's CD's I must put this one on the top of the chart. The songs are truley inspired by God. You feel his presence through this music. Beyond the spiritual virtue of the music it is in-and-of itself amazing. Bebo's voice is top notch; clean, clear and full. The song writing is amazing on songs such as Finding You, Disappear, Try and Drifting. Bebo known for writing so much of his own music with the occassional collaboration of Scott and Ed Cash has really branched out on this album and has used the talents of so many people; Chad and Jess Cates, Mitch Dane, Ryan Booth, Brandon Heath and several others. The music is so alive! So many of these songs sound and feel like conversations between the prayerful and a God filled with love. Bebo has produced something that allows God to reach out to anyone and give them the breath of life.

Would I recommend this CD - I have and will continue to do so. I enjoyed this CD so much I purchased several at a recent Bebo concert to give as gifts.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful CD, October 24, 2004
This review is from: Try (Audio CD)
Please don't let the bad reviews keep you from owning this CD. Anyone who has had life experience will appreciate these songs. Just as with Bebo's other CD's, it takes a few times of listening to each song to even begin to absorb the deeper meanings they hold. Take it from someone who has gone through many heart-wrenching situations over the past few years; this CD will bring you hope and encouragement. I can't wait to listen to it again!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great album, December 14, 2005

I like Bebo's music because his lyrics are so honest no matter what emotion he is feeling at the time. This particular album is more joyful overall than his previous ones. "Try" and "Ten Thousand Days" are my favorite Bebo albums, although I like them all.

I think it took me a few times listening to the CD to truly fall in love with it. It's a great album, and with backup vocals by Brandon Heath (who you should also definitely check out) it's a sweet CD.

If you like Bebo, give this at try. (no pun intended)
