I had a feeling that this would be a re-release. But, it's good that it's being re-released because I don't think the first cd was well publicized, and that cd is the BOMB. So, pick it up. She also has a new song at the end that wasn't on the first "Try me". Trust me, she's phenomenal!

A very nice cd, however if you have purchased the first one in 1995, this release contains the same content, plus an additional song. It was my first time hearing the cd ,so I really liked it, Ms.Burrell has a beautiful voice!

Yall, this illustrious voice probably is the equivalent to the times of Aretha Franklin. If you haven't heard of this Texas
Girl yet then you are not up on your gospel music. This voice will forever crossover R&B, Jazz and gospel into one. Has very unique style and always has the best musicians on every album. To name a few Calvin Rodgers and Maurice Fitzgerald need I say more... Cop this album and if you want to be blown away get her live in concert CD. Holla....

I am a die hard Kim Burrell fan. I rank her right up there with Karen Clark and other great gospel vocalists. She brings a jazzy feel to gospel music with her runs and Ella Fitzgerald-esque scats. I love the cd. Prayer Changes Things and Love Is What You Do are two of my favorites. If you have never heard Kim, you are in for a treat. I don't believe you will be disappointed. A must have for all Kim Burrell fans.

Saints and Friends, this is indeed a re-release. If you're in a slow reading, lighting candles on a rainy day kind of mood, this is the music for you. Kim's vocals on most of the songs are smooth and light as afternoon sun, and never leaves you rushed or gasping. Listen to this during quiet times and let the Lord bless you.

This is the first Kim Burrell CD I've ever bought and it is now one of my top 5 favorite CDs of all time! It is just beautiful and moving. Her voice is amazing, effortless, jazzy, bluesy, strong, smooth and lovely. I have been listening to ONLY her cd for the past month, since I bought it. I just don't want to hear anything else! Any music lover will appreciate Kim Burrell, but singers and musicians will be especially smitten with this vocalist and her band!

I can't remember how I oroginally got the hot musicin my hands - but it was
in the late 90's in the cassette format, I couldn't believe my hears and
then I decided that I just had to have this in cd format. Well, I'll tell you,
I called the number provided on the cassette tape and could never get anyone to answer, but believe you me, I left enough messages. Yes, finally, I can get this
album and the original recording--at that....This lady can sing and you can feel it to your very core...Just watched a video where Kim Burrell performed a special tribute to Whitney Houston at the 2010 Bet Awards -- she gave a --beautifully performance.. Keep on singing.....Try Me Again

I REALLY ENJOY LISTENING TO MRS KIM BURRELL!! SHE KNOW SHE CAN SANG! IF YOU HAVEN'T GOTTEN THIS ALBUM!! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! GET IT. YOU'LL NEVER BE THE SAME!! ITS LIKE ITS A NEW HER. BUT WITH THE SAME VOICE! TO ME IT DESERVES A 5 STAR!! GOD BLESS!!

Her voice, the band and the arrangements are amazing. Together with powerful and inspiring lyrics sincerely from the heart, Kim Burrell has the power to bring a fresh anointing into your life through music - something that can't be said for all gospel artists. This is one of my favorite CD's of all time.
