5.0 out of 5 stars Still a strong debut album from Jeremy to me!
Jeremy Jordan's only album was one of my favorites to hear from 1993. He was so solid on all the performances here, especially Wannagirl, The Right Kind of Love, the funky Try My Love, the sexy Do It To The Music and others. Half the songs have an R&B feel to them; the other half is mostly dance pop. I think that the only current artist to do this kind of R&B is Justin...

1.0 out of 5 stars boooooooo, he's no J-Law
Who is J-Law? the one and only Joey Lawrence (yeah i coined the nick-name myself, i do cool stuff like that all the time) Why am I so ill-mannered towards JJ? I'll tell you why, two words... Competiton Rowboating. Yeah, I am the greatest of all time, you might call me the Michael Jordan of the sport (I'm working on a Hall of Fame that will be in Harriman TN) Ol' JJ...

I think that the only current artist to do this kind of R&B is Justin Timberlake on his Justified album of 2002. So Jeremy's album is more of a prelude to what Justin is doing now. Jordan's rival male pop competition was Joey Lawrence in 1993 and they were on the covers of many magazines. But Joey's album sold more; Jeremy's struggled. However, I'd give the upper hand to Jeremy, because the material and the way he sings the songs are so well done. He has strong vocal control on here. Jeremy, wherever you are, I wish you the best and I still remember this lone album that you made.

4.0 out of 5 stars MMmmMmm.. J.J..., April 13, 2003
This review is from: Try My Love (Audio CD)
This album is pretty good! It's good that late 80s, early 90s pop sound reminiscent of New Kids on Da Block which still ROX! yeah baybay! I just got this disc at a Used book store and I am diggin' it all the way. If you were ever a fan of Beverly Hills 90210 around '93 (when the show was still decently good) you may recall Jeremy Jordan's theme song from the show, "right kind of love".... well it's the best song!... I also like "try my love" and have yet to listen to the rest of the record. Warning: a lot of sappy love lyrics and some [love] themes but still DAMN GOOD! get it today

Who is J-Law? the one and only Joey Lawrence (yeah i coined the nick-name myself, i do cool stuff like that all the time) Why am I so ill-mannered towards JJ? I'll tell you why, two words... Competiton Rowboating. Yeah, I am the greatest of all time, you might call me the Michael Jordan of the sport (I'm working on a Hall of Fame that will be in Harriman TN) Ol' JJ was just a sore loser. I used to tear him up in every competition, and I would get all the cheer-leaders (yes, we had cheer-leaders) He started to stalk me and wanted to be like me in every aspect (except he couldn't find the classic Patrick Ewing Spauldings I made popular, little secret, Pic n' Pay, 29.99, jealous?) I got tired of all the 'I'm gonna kill you and your family' and 'make love to me' threats, so I told him "why don't you get a new hobby, like singing" (only i was laughing when i said this, he took it to heart) and from then on he set out to be a pop star, which almost happened, but just couldn't cut it with the bigs (yeah i'm talking J-LAW) in his failed effort and terrible skills at music, I award him 1 star.
