B-Legit the Savage's first solo album is a hit! many songs are G, my favorite being dank room. B-Legit, with his unique style and voice, is one of the bay area's finest. this cd is sure to be a classic.

A BAY AREA MUST HAVE!!!!!!!!!!,
By Will Burkitt (Omak, WA) - See all my reviews

This is album is off tha hook even though it's not the original. It's short a song or two. The song "F*** and get up" with mac shawn is not on it and that was the damn cut!!! What the hell were they thinking? But this version is still a must have. The songs have not been tampered with like other albums by The Click and E-40. I would definatly pay any amount for an original of this or any of those early albums by E-40, D-shot, and B-legit. Buy you some main!!!!!!!!

A great debute by the Savage,
By Philip Y. (Israel) - See all my reviews

B-Legit, a member of the Click, and coisin of E-40, Suga T and D-Shot, does it all alone on this one and handles it great. His lyrics are always great and so is his delivery with his unique voice. This album failed to become a nationwilde hit, but it's still bangin'. If you like B-Legit and Bay Area rap music you'll most definetly love this album.

B-Legit (of the Click) comes correct with his solo debut, worthy of 4.5 stars, and my favorite of his first 5. Every album I have of his since this (his next 4 solo's) get progressivly weaker (his 2nd & 3rd get 4, and his 4th and 5th albums barely get 3.5). This was in the day of the west coast funk, and that's what you get on here. 11 songs, 1 is almost a classic, 3 are ok, the other 7 are tight. Guests are minimal, rapping on 3 songs and doin the hook on 2. Production is very tight & funky (like most of the earlier B-Legit/Click works were)and handled exclusively by the always nice Studio Ton. A must have west coast album for true funk lovers and his best album as well.

Jive records ruined this masterpiece,

The actual Sic Wid it Records version of this album is an absolute masterpiece. B-Legit's best album, very raw. Jive made some changes to it and its just not the same.

THis is a great album from b-legit. ITs has those tight bay area mobb style beats that sick wit it records used in the early days. You cant go wrong if you like bay area mobb beats.

I owned (and loved) this CD when it was first released in 2005, but it was stolen from me. I have always regretted the loss of it, and have fondly recalled several of its songs over the years. Though Amazon began as a music site, I only started browsing that section very recently. I was pleasantly surprised to find B-Legit, and I just HAD to scoop this up! My favorite song, "F--- and Get Up", is not on here, but I also bought that MP3 single right here on Amazon, and I will put it in its rightful place on the new CD that I burn (can't risk loss/theft of this copy!). Considering the fact that I am still enjoying a 15 year old CD, I have to give it 5 stars! If you were never into E-40, The Click, or his other relatives, you might not be as thrilled with this as I am.

Tryin' To Get A Buck,

I've owned this album for a few years now and it still gets played regularly. B-Legit's rhymes are smooth and perfectly delivered over some funky @$$ Vallejo style beats, He's easily one of the most clever rappers out there. Listening to this album you'll be thinking to yourself, "Damnnn this is the ish!!" Take my word for it, buy this album, you won't regret it. This is a Bay Area gem and will only become more classic from here on out.
