I've bought other rubber stamp cleaners that wouldn't work at all on permanent or archival ink, which is really annoying since solvent, dye-based inks (the cheap ones, at least) will wash off with water. You don't even need a special cleaner.

However StazOn will clean permanent/archival inks off of your stamps, fingers, and sink and might even work on your clothes, although I haven't had to use it there, yet.

StazOn is one of the few brands I purchase by name in this crafting world of cheap gimcrackery and fly-by-night brands. Their ink pads are also good products.

P.S. Another product that will clean up your stamps is flushable moist wipes. I use Cottonelle (Cottonelle Fresh Folded Moist Wipes Refill 84.)

I am thrilled with this product. It does a superb job cleaning my rubber stamps, but I also found it useful when I spilled a bottle of red india ink on my hardwood floors and this took it right up! Now, I don't recommend you try that with the india ink, but I think it spoke well for this product.

I bought this product to use for my Stazon ink pads. It is a great product and not only does it get the ink off it gets your stamp pads really clean too. This product arrived in a timely manner and brand new like I would have bought it in the store.

This product is awesome, and gets the permanent ink off your stamps, your work table and pretty much any where your ink touches. I highly recommend this for your stamps. If you clean them as soon as you use them, it will keep them from looking stained. This size bottle goes a long way.

This stuff is great. My stamps are cleaner after using this on them than they were when I got them. The dauber is very convenient for getting the stuff where you want it and not all over the workspace. The ink picked up onto the dauber is easily removed by daubing onto a paper towel after using.
