Yours indeed, June 1, 2010
As a loyal long time fan of Maria Bethania, i find Tua a coherent collage of deep enthralling love songs that again confirms she has come back with a vengeance since she released Maricotinha in 2001. As in all of her recent Cds, her voice takes center stage barely accompanied by subtle piano and guitar.Gone are the overly arranged albums.Coherently, she showcases the art of her new favorite songwriter Roque Ferreira strongly, although my favorite songs are Tua penned by Adriana Calcanhotto , E o amor outra vez written by Dori Caymmi and Saudade developed by Chico Cesar and Moska. Throughout this musical journey,she encourages to revisit long lost loves.Not an offer to pass if well accompanied by a lover and a glass of wine.
