5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Kids, March 27, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Tubby the Tuba (Audio CD)
These wonderful, funny stories introduce kids to the sounds of various instruments and to different musical genres -- orchestral, jazz, marching band, etc. Tubby is a fat little tuba with his own song to sing. Singing it gets him into trouble sometimes and sometimes helps him make new friends. He persists, so the message is: "Sing your own song, no matter how small." My 5-year-old daughter delights in this disk.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hurrah for Tubby the Tuba, April 17, 2002

This review is from: Tubby the Tuba (Audio CD)
What a wonderful way for children to learn about instruments in an orchestra. Here they can learn about the range of the tuba and about the great sounds it makes. As a child, I remember listening to Tubby the Tuba and being entranced with story and the sounds of the orchestra. This new version done with the Manhattan Transfer adds new adventures for the daring tuba. My 4 year old grandson adores it! Yours will, too!

5.0 out of 5 stars great for the car!, December 2, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Tubby the Tuba (Audio CD)
We listen to this frequently in the car and it is an excellent alternative to listening to kids sing Old MacDonald one more time. My kids are well-versed in the sounds of various instruments and Tubby has helped to reinforce their knowledge with four great stories.
