From the Manufacturer

Tubtrugs are the original 2-handled tubs that are the most useful tool for thousands of jobs around the home and garden. A Tubtrug is great for carrying, mixing, pouring, scooping, plastering, storing, washing, gardening, pets – the list of uses for your Tubtrug is literally endless. Used by professionals the World over, Tubtrugs are fantastic for many heavy duty jobs and Tubtrugs are used by landscape gardeners, builders, plasterers, mechanics and fishermen the World over. Two extremely strong handles and flexible body make handling a Tubtrug much easier than any normal bucket or tub. Gardening just got a whole lot easier. Simply carry your Tubtrugs around from spot to spot, fold it flat to sweep leaves into, mix compost in it, dunk your hanging baskets in it, or keep your wine cool on the patio in it if you prefer (our favorite option). Hanging washing out couldn’t be easier, no more struggling with big clumsy washing baskets, simply grab both handles in one hand and your away. 18in wide by 13in tall.

Trugs are without a doubt my favorite garden tool. Forget 5-gallon buckets, and get a trug! They come in beautiful colors, are seemingly indestructible (though lightweight)and have many uses. After a few years outside they can look a little shabby, but they are just as sturdy and useful as the day they came home with me. I have three of them - one a brand new purple one I can't wait to use.

Update - the new Tubtrugs I purchased are not the same quality as the first one I bought. They have all shattered in one way or another - one when I was thumping it to remove dirt, one at the handles. Very disappointed. I still have the first one I bought, and now wonder what the difference is with that one.

This bucket is the perfect for size for laundry.
Easy to carry and soft enough to pull together and carry by both handles.
I just wish they qualified for Amazon Prime Shipping. But they are well worth the money.

About 6 years ago I bought a black "Trug Tub" for gardening. It's very thick, has a heavy rubbery-feeling, easy to mash the handles together to carry by one hand, and very sturdy over the years. I thought I'd buy another one in case my original "Trug Tub" started wearing out, (and sometimes it's handy to have two tubs if you have a willing helper in the yard). I couldn't find a "Trug Tub" anywhere, so I bought this new bucket called "Tubtrugs". This new one is lighter weight, thinner (the plastic itself, not the size), it has smaller weaker handles and has a different texture on the outside. It's just like a smaller one (even the horizontal lines on the outside) I bought from a gardening store years ago. After one winter in the garage the handles cracked off from the cold (Virginia) before I could use it another Spring. I vowed to only purchase Trug Tubs from then on. Obviously this is not a Trug Tub. We'll see what happens to this one come Spring, but I'm not optimistic and I'm disappointed at it's flimsiness.

I use 2 of these as toy boxes, love the range of colors. The child can reach in without opening a lid, and fall into the soft sides while learning to walk without getting hurt. Holds three or four stuffed animals and several books. Not childish so I won't have to throw them out as the child grows. I can use these in so many ways that they will long outlive their toy box function.

I purchased this large purple Tubtrug and I wonder how I did without it for so long!

My grandparents had used something like this in Spain, made from black rubber, and it was indispensable. Now made in food-safe indestructible polypropylene (hard to misplace in purple, too), I'm finding so many uses for the modern Tubtrug. I've hauled weeds, moved a compost pile, made soil mixes for my containers, potted plants, bathed a pet, and soaked my long white medical coat (after I hosed it out).

I have two Martha-Stewart-charming Behrens 1208 8-Quart Steel Pails that I use to hold my garden tools, plant ties, seed packets, and plant labels - they aren't going to be replaced by plastic tubs anytime soon. BUT I may have developed a little teeny tiny problem with the Tubtrugs - I now own this big purple one, a smaller lilac one, and a shallow pistachio one.

Get one, and you'll wonder why you didn't get one sooner. Give one as a gift, and it will surely be a hit!

I love my Tubtrug! I use it to bring vegetables in from my garden. The 10 gal is actually a little bit too big for my purposes, but it works great. I have also used it to carry water to my garden. Great product!

As a professional gardener, I use these trugs every day and have several different sizes and colors for different uses. Oddly, and for whatever reason, the blue-colored ones seem to last much longer than any of the other colors, regardless of size.
Heavy use, chronic exposure to sunlight and using them in extremely cold weather eventually takes it's toll in broken handles and split-bottoms. That being said, they are still one of the handiest, multi-purpose tools I use on a daily basis and don't know what I would do without them!

We have two of these for food-related use (one this size, one 14 liter). We got some cheaper ones that work great to hold laundry or toys. However, we decided to get the food-grade ones to hold onions, oranges, etc. and for beer brewing. For us, paying the extra cost is worth to avoid leaching from the plastic onto our food.
The material is very sturdy and flexible. It is very easy to carry, and the tub recovers its form as soon as you place it down. After several months of use, the tubs still look like new.
If we needed more containters this size, this would definitely be our choice.
