Editorial Reviews

Tuck Bushman (Chris Lumb) is an out of luck and out of work TV presenter / creature hunter. When strange things start to happen in the remote Yorkshire village of Piddledown Dale, the mayor Eli Nefarious (Rob Girdler), offers a reward to the person who can capture the culprit. Tuck jumps at the chance to claim the prize and heads off, with snobby director Jerry Stains (Matthew Jackson) in tow, to make a programme of his triumph and get his career back on track. Little does Tuck know that there is more brewing in the village than tea and some old wounds and old flames will surface from his past, not to mention his ex-girlfriend Felicity Scruples (Natalie Smeaton). Mad doctors, monster hunters, camping, booby traps, car chases and even a giant sheep make this a trip to Piddledown Dale you won't forget! Having had the good fortune to catch this film when it premiered at the Hyde Park Picture House, in Leeds, I was delighted when i was finally able to purchase a copy for myself.

Tuck Bushman & The Legend of Piddledown Dale, tells the story of an out of work animal hunter, by the name of Tuck Bushman, who is given a chance to revive his ailing career when a strange creature is spotted in the hinterland of Piddledown Dale. With the help of his trusty sidekick, Jerry Stains, Tuck sets out to turn the capture of this creature into a television documentary.

Okay so the costumes are cheap and the wigs cheaper, but on an alleged budget of £650 (it's true the BBC said so! [...]) what do you expect? However, if you want crazy comedy and stomach crunching belly laughs then this film is definitely for you.

The script weaves together an interesting story line with zany set pieces and cracking one liners. The cast, who are mostly amateurs, do a fantastic job in delivering their material and film is admirably directed.

I can't wait for my copy to arrive!

After hearing that the long awaited release for Tuck Bushman and the Legend of Piddledown Dale was finally available to buy. it was the first thing i did when i was hooked up to the internet. not only did i happily pay the cost of the DVD i payed extra for the speedy delivery just so i could watch this sooner. The plot kept me entised throught the end as well as the humerous characters (with the comically assigned names). i have watched this multiple times as wel las recommending to a fiend. This was a story about a monster in Piddle Down dale. which the towns only option was to bring in the local monster hunters as well as the infamous Tuck Busman to unravel the mystery of the quiet little town. There was twist and turns to the story of which many times made me think "ahhhh interesting" to only then choke laughing on my drink at other funny events. The characters defiinatly well casted and the tallent to put this all together and make it work is defiatly noticable. i enjoyed this dvd very much, i will definatly be recomending it and sharing the laughters with my friends. Definatly worth the buy :)

Prompt delivery and great packaging, but best thing about this was the film of course!!!! Hilarious comedy capers from this great small budget independent comedy. Makes a refreshing change from main stream big budget comedies, and even more packed full of laughs than your average blockbuster! Original idea, laugh out loud script and characters. TRY THIS!!
