By A Customer
This review is from: Tuck Triumphant (Paperback)
Tuck Triumphant is a fascinating book about a teenage girl named Helen Ogden who adores her two dogs, Tuck and Daisy. Tuck becomes blind, and Daisy leads him where he needs to go. Helen's family adopts a boy named Chok-Do Cho and discovers he is deaf. Chok-Do gets into trouble causing Helen to go on scary and exciting adventures. The problem is that Helen's family still was not finding a better way to communicate, causing the mother and father to consider sending him back. Can the Ogden family learn to live with a dog that is blind plus a boy who is deaf? Read the book to find out.

I would recommend this book to a friend. They were going to get a Korean boy. They didn't know Choke-Do is a deaf mute. Sometimes Tuck jumps the fence. North plot wasn't moving fast. Yes, the characters are realistic. The dialogue helped a lot for me to understand the story better. Read to find out if they get a new dog to replace Lady Daisy, and to see how they enjoyed their trip it Colorado.

Theres something strange about Friar Tuck hes...,

There's something strange about Friar Tuck Golden Boy, he's blind. Tuck has a seeing eye dog named Lady Diasy. Tuck and Daisy took a real liking to the adopted boy Chok-do. Chok-do is from Korea and is a deaf-mute. Helen, which is the owner of Tuck and Daisy is getting jealous of Chok-do but that may not last to long. After adopting the six year old Korean boy that could not speak nor hear he seemed hard to keep. So, what is the choice made. You have to read to find out. by Steve

Kirah Book ReviewTuck Triumphant was a good book. I would recommend this to a friend because a dog is a man's best friend. The main characters are the Helen, Tuck, Mr. and Mrs. Ogden, Stan , Luke, Chok-Do, and Lady Daisy. Tuck is a blind dog, but Lady Daisy is Tuck's seeing eye dog. It was interesting when the Odgens didn't know that they adopted a little deaf boy, Chok-Do Choi. They thought that they adopted a regular kid. He is a little Korean boy that is 6 yrs. old. Well, the wasn't very fast, I thought. Don't take my word for it, read to see if they keep Chok-Do.

TUCK TRIUMPHANTI read the book Tuck Triumphant. I didn't like it very much. I liked it about 10%. It really just didn't draw me into the story. The story is about Ogden family adopting a Korean boy named Choke-Do. The Ogden children, Helen, Luke, and Stan, are not very happy about it because they have to switch rooms. When the boy comes, blind Tuck and Lady Daisy love playing with Choke-Do, but something happens to Lady Daisy, and Choke-Do's deaf! Should they keep him or send him back? Read the book to find out! Tuck Triumphant I think tuck was a good book. I would recommend it to a friend . I think it was a good book because at first Chock-Do is afraid of dogs. Then later they make friends and because they have to decided if they should keep a Korean boy that is deaf. His name is Chock-Do.

When Helen's family decides to adopt a child, they chose a Korean boy named Chok Do Choy. When they pick him up at the airport, they find out a horrible secret. Read the book to find out!The book is well written and makes you read on. The author, Theodore Taylor, is a very colorful writer. He uses lots of literary devices, and he make me feel like I'm right in the story. I would recommend this book to people who like suspense, tragedy, and humor. |
