By A Customer
This review is from: Tucket's Home (The Francis Tucket Books) (Paperback)
Gary Paulsen has done an absoulutly fantastic job on writing the Tucket Adventures. They sure are page turners. There is a lot of suspense. It is based on a boy and his adopted family. (two children he finds in a wagon) They try to find his family in Oregon after being captured by Indians. They have many Adventures together and the story is very exciting. Do yourself a favor! Read all five!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tucket's Home : A Constant Adventure,
By heather cornett (Richmond, KY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Tucket's Home (Francis Tucket Books) (Hardcover)
This the first and only Gary Paulsen book I've read, but I enjoyed Tucket's Home and all of Francis's adventures despite my lack of knowledge of its predecessors. As Francis and his friends Lottie and Billy search for Oregon in hope of finding Francis's family, they are contiuously running into some type of excitement. They meet an Englishman who knows little about life on the frontier, Francis's one-armed friend Mr. Grimes, a group of murederers . . . I could go on and on. The plot never slows down; there's always a new conflict and in the end, the conflicts are all resolved. The setting is described in detail, thus becoming very realistic and believable. Also, the end of the book includes a look into the future of Francis and his friends. The only complaint I have is the fact that the characters seem a bit too adult - like. As a 9-12 year old (the book's recommended age group) I don't think I could've related well to these characters.

The End of the Trail...,
This review is from: Tucket's Home (The Francis Tucket Books) (Paperback)
"Tucket's Home" is the last book in the Francis Tucket series. Although there is some action, it is mostly about tying up loose ends and getting to the final destination. As in the other books, Gary Paulsen has done an excellent job of making it crystal clear that the western journey wasn't easy. If it wasn't disease and starvation trying to get the better of you, there were the elements, and worse, the kinds of wild men that gravitate to areas were the law isn't present. This is a short quick read and good ending to the series. I highly recommend these kid-parent-and-teacher approved books. a Pam T mini-review (booksforkids-reviews)

One great book,
This review is from: Tucket's Home (The Francis Tucket Books) (Paperback)
This is a great book for any one who can read it. It's Tucket's Home by Gary Paulsen. It is a adventuress suspenseful book with non stop action its so interest you you'll never know what could happen next. This book is book 4 of 4 of the Tucket adventures it is the last book dose Francis Tucket make it home or not? You will have to find that out for your self. Its about a boy who got lost going to organ on the organ trail with his family and now its just him and two kids he found after there parents had died on the trail 14 year old Lotty and 10 year old Billy. Tucket is 16. This book is full of Indians, strange men, and just straight up crazy killers, you never no who to trust. I would recommend this book to people who like adventure, suspense, fighting, action, killing, and much more. This is an example of suspense from the text, " When it came it came, it was so fast and so brutal Francis almost cried out, if he had, it would have been his last act on earth out of the shadows out of the dark night a pack of devils appeared." The way they work together to try and stay alive is amazing they almost seem family. If this seems like a good book for you pick up Tucket's Home.

Book Report/Tuckets Home,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Tucket's Home (The Francis Tucket Books) (Paperback)
I read the book Tuckets Home. This book is Great. This is my overview of this book. Its about this family that lives next to the Oregon trail. And they have there own prairie. Pretty much they a tough life. I learned some interesting facts. One fact is how the Oregon trail traveld. Another fact is if you want to heel a snake bite you have to suck your blud. The last fact is people kill alot of animals just for their meat. I reommend this for three reasons. One reason is I think it is interesting to learn about the Oregon trail. Another reason is, it is exciting how to heel a snake bite. The last reason is that this book has alot of great facts. Tuckets home is a exciting book.

This book was the best of the series! It showed what a greatathur gary paulson is. Francis and billy and lottie all pulled together and survived. Francis even made it home to his family! I think the end was the best part where it showed all of thier lives afterward. Great job, Gary Paulson!
