Not meant to be historically accurate. Those who do not like this book (or TV show) just don't "get it". The book and TV show both, make one curious and eager to learn more about this important period in England's history. It was Henry VIII who was responsible for doing away with the Pope and the Catholic church in England. The book makes no claims of accuracy, The TV show is prime time drama with outstanding acting and costuming and scenery, etc. Enjoy both !

This book is suppose to be for the fans of the show and that is what it is. A great piece of memrobillia for The TUDORS FANS!

This book is based on the television series The Tudors. For all those people (like me) who can't get enough of the series, this is for you. The book contains the final shooting scripts #1-5 for the first season as well. It's fascinating to read through them and be able to picture everything in your mind. I had a hard time putting this book down!

Some people may critize the book for not being historically accurate, which is true. It's not totally accurate as it is based on the television show The Tudors, not on history.

A great book! Enjoy!

I READ THE BOOK AND ENJOYED IT SO MUCH, I ORDERED SHOWTIME SO I COULD WATCH...THE AUTHOR, ANNE GRACIE DID AN EXCELLENT IN SHOWING THE FUN AND THE UNFAIRNESS OF THE COURT..

I bought this as a gift for a friend who loves the series. The scripts are, in fact, accurate as far as what we saw on the screen. (they take the idea 'final shooting script' seriously). There are lots and lots of good photos, and some nice extras, including interviews with the scriptwriter, Michael Hirst.

Recommended for all fans of the series - but serious history buffs will continue to find the inaccuracies frustrating.

I must preface my opinion: I love this show, the gifted acting abilities of all the actors, the costumes and makeup artistry, scenic beauty, etc...Alas, this IS television and it is Showtime, not the History Channel. If you want historical accuracy, look to 'doctored' history books, because we all know those are only as accurate as the hand that wrote them wants those books to be. Behold!

I did not realize that was basically just a script of the first season! I wish I had read farther into the description and I could have saved my money! I already watched it on Showtime! However, if you don't subsribe to Showtime, this book is for you!

I flipped through this book, not being impressed the the series; (too many historical inaccuraties for me.) It contains a few pictures of the cast, short essays about the various characters the the scripts for the first three episodes. Not worth the money. Pick up something by a real author, like Alison Weir instead.

The first two episodes were free with direct-tv. Thank goodness ,because I would NEVER pay to see so much "made-up history". I say take the money you were spending for Showtime to see this series and use it to buy yourself many of the great books out there that tells the way it REALLY was!!!!
