5.0 out of 5 stars MARVELOUS!!
I am a huge fan of Showtime's "The Tudors" so wondered just how closely the book would follow the script. As I read along, I could visualize perfectly the different scenes from the show. I could hear the characters voices during the different scenes. It has renewed my excitement for the 2nd season to start!

Can't wait for the next book to come out!

this was a fair read.. but left me thinking more was fiction than history. probably a good thing as much has been written about henry and his women. . this book did make him and his people more lifelike than most.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!, January 28, 2008
This review is from: The Tudors: The King, the Queen, and the Mistress (Paperback)
A fan of the series, this novelization recaptured and fleshed out what I'd enjoyed so much on the screen. A must-have for any fan of The Tudors show, or anyone who has a love and fascination for this time in history! It is very well written, with a genuine depth and emotion so important in making the story and the characters come alive. I anxiously await the second series and the accompanying novelization!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great show, capivating novel, February 21, 2009

If you love the Showtime show The Tudors, then you should read this book. It is a historical fiction novel based on (and sometimes is word for word) from the first season of The Tudors. It is provocative and captivating, just like the show. It's a quick read so it's a great beach read or for when you want to escape for awhile.

If you are not a fan of the show or have never seen it but are interested in historical fiction or novels based off of shows or movies, then you will probably like this book.

This is a pretty good book, nothing too deep or thought provoking but it is interesting and does give you a sense of what Henry VIII was like and Anne Boleyn.

Entertaining novel adapted from the Showtime series. It was easy reading and since I saw the series first before reading the book I had a different visual of King Henry VIII. I thought of Jonathan Ryhs as the king rather than the slovenly, homely man he was said to be in most historical novels.
