In the summer of 1940, with France on the verge of surrender to Germany, Valli Chattaine, a star in the Paris Ballet Company, must escape Paris and return home to French Morocco. A French Foreign Legionnaire, hired by her family, attempts to get her safely out of Paris. Marc Durell, an adventurous and capable soldier, also brings Valli a secret letter from her older sister, Gisele. But in going home, Valli falls into a maze of dark deceptions and dangers. Through it all she comes to a deeper understanding of God’s grace, which is so much greater than her own. His grace helps to bring her and her family beyond devastating circumstances in Casablanca and is equally present in her own romance with the charismatic Legionnaire.

Linda, an award winning author, is a graduate of Multnomah School of the Bible in Portland, Oregon. She and her husband live in Northern California.

Another excellent book from Ms. Chaikin ...,

In Tuesday's Child, the reader is immediately drawn into the world of espionage during WWII. The characters are believeable and their struggles realistic. However, having read every book Ms. Chaikin has written so far, (and loving them all), I found myself wishing this story was one she would've turned into a triology. There was so much potential in the characters and the setting that I really hated to see the storyline end. The story is wonderful as it is -- I would've so enjoyed reading an expanded version on this theme. I very much appreciated the detail Ms. Chaikin gave to the historical accuracy. Another wonderful read from this author!

If you have ever read Monday's Child or the Arabian Winds series and enjoyed them, then you will certianly enjoy reading Tuesday's Child. And, like in the books I just mentioned there is a good looking intelligance agent just waiting to fall in love with Valli, the main character. (Have you ever noticed that Linda Chaikin has a thing for intelligance agents?) Anyway, I'm sure you will enjoy reading this book filled with romance, mystery, excitment, and suspence.

What Tuesday's Child, Linda Chaikin's newest release,lacked in an exciting romance, it gained in a skillfully woven plot. If you love Mrs.Linda's intricate espionage and intrigue, along with that nostalgic feeling you get from her war-time novels, this won't dissapoint. I've read 22 of Mrs.Chaikin's novels, and Linda Chaikin's newest work of art should not be passed by.
