4.0 out of 5 stars Another excellent book from Ms. Chaikin ...
In Tuesday's Child, the reader is immediately drawn into the world of espionage during WWII. The characters are believeable and their struggles realistic. However, having read every book Ms. Chaikin has written so far, (and loving them all), I found myself wishing this story was one she would've turned into a triology. There was so much potential in the characters...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as I hoped...
This was the first book I have read by Linda Chaikin, and all her other books have gotten very good reviews. But I had a very hard time getting into the book, she jumps into the middle of a story and left me trying to figure out what had happened. I don't know if I am the only one to feel this way about her books? Not sure if I will read anything else of hers?

In Tuesday's Child, the reader is immediately drawn into the world of espionage during WWII. The characters are believeable and their struggles realistic. However, having read every book Ms. Chaikin has written so far, (and loving them all), I found myself wishing this story was one she would've turned into a triology. There was so much potential in the characters and the setting that I really hated to see the storyline end. The story is wonderful as it is -- I would've so enjoyed reading an expanded version on this theme. I very much appreciated the detail Ms. Chaikin gave to the historical accuracy. Another wonderful read from this author!

5.0 out of 5 stars Linda Chaikin Does It Again!, May 24, 2000

If you have ever read Monday's Child or the Arabian Winds series and enjoyed them, then you will certianly enjoy reading Tuesday's Child. And, like in the books I just mentioned there is a good looking intelligance agent just waiting to fall in love with Valli, the main character. (Have you ever noticed that Linda Chaikin has a thing for intelligance agents?) Anyway, I'm sure you will enjoy reading this book filled with romance, mystery, excitment, and suspence.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mrs.Chaikin is always good., April 6, 2000
This review is from: Tuesday's Child (A Day to Remember Series #2) (Paperback)
What Tuesday's Child, Linda Chaikin's newest release, lacked in an exciting romance, it gained in a skillfully woven plot. If you love Mrs.Linda's intricate espionage and intrigue, along with that nostalgic feeling you get from her war-time novels, this won't dissapoint. I've read 22 of Mrs.Chaikin's novels, and Linda Chaikin's newest work of art should not be passed by.

5.0 out of 5 stars Magnificent Job!, March 24, 2000
This review is from: Tuesday's Child (A Day to Remember Series #2) (Paperback)
Tuesday's Child was a great book! i have read all of linda chaikin's books and this is one of the best! it has mystery, espionage, ballets, and romance. the characters are described very well and you feel like you know them by the end of the book. the historical accuracy of this book is also very well done, which the book takes place during the time when Hitler is getting ready to invade France. the ballet in the book is very well described and you can abviously tell that linda chaikin had to research a lot on it to give such a detailed explaination of it. i thoroughly enjoyed reading this book! i couldn't put it down! thanks linda chaikin! get up the good work!

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Series by Chaikin!!!, September 26, 2003

I discovered this series not long ago and found them to be refreshing! Enough mystery to keep you turning the pages, a little romance to enhance the story, and the great time period of the World War! I was tired of the stories with too much mystery/action with no character developement... to much violence... to much romance (gush, gush)... you get my point. These books cover a wide area... mystery, romance, espionage, war, etc. Not too much of anything. I don't want you to think by my previous sentence it is just a wishy washy book, no plot, etc. Actually these books are much to the opposite. It is a definite page turner (mystery/espionage, etc.) but also had character developement and lots of little plots off the main one! A surprise on every page. It is wonderful to know there are still writers out there writing good wholesome books! Thanks Linda Chaikin... keep them rolling in...

5.0 out of 5 stars Romance, courage, betrayal... what more do you want?, June 4, 2000
This review is from: Tuesday's Child (A Day to Remember Series #2) (Paperback)
I really loved reading this book! This book is about romance, WWII, sisterly love, Paris France, patroitism and courage. Valli and Marc were well-developed characters and the plot was great. Valli also learns that though she is full of grace the grace of God is able to sustain her during her trials and her relationships with her sister Giselle and with the courageous, adventureous Marc Durell. (I found nothing wrong with the romance.) Linda Chaikin did another amazing job to make her latest series A DAY TO REMEMBER more intriguing. I really enjoyed all of the books in this series so far. Mrs. Chaikin did great on the research of the WWII in 1940 when Hitler was on the verge of invading France and North Africa. I like how she goes into other countries that I haven't dreamed of going there. Like Algeria for one and Morrocco. I really, really love to see what's next for this series!
