Tuffo Water-Resistant Outdoor Blanket with Carrying Case

This is a great blanket! The back is a water-resistant material so you don't get wet when sitting on damp grass. The top is a soft cotton type material. The blanket is lightly padded to keep you comfortable from hard ground and small pebbles. It's machine washable. It folds up easily to fit back in the matching tote bag that it comes packed in. It's large enough to hold two adults, a baby and all of the baby's play things. I'm so glad I purchased this and I look forward to many years of use.

This blanket is a great size, easy to fold, and perfectly water-resistant. However, its top layer (quilted top) and bottom layer (water resistant material) are not sewn together. Every time someone steps on it, they slip. My two-year-old fell the first time he stepped on the blanket because the quilted top slipped right out from under him. I would have returned it immediately, but I have needed a waterproof blanket several times lately. I don't know if it's just a faulty blanket or if they are all this way. I'm unhappy with my purchase because it was more expensive than several other types, but I liked the look of it, so I spent the extra money. I'm so disappointed, not to mention [...]

Before buying this, I read many of the reviews, and a few people commented that it was not sew properly, and that the top slipped against the bottom, making it dangerous for young kids her might step on it etc.
I am going to presume that they have made improvements since those reviews were written a few years ago, because the picnic blanket I received doesn't seem to have that problem.
It is big and fits my family of 4 nicely. My kids (baby and toddler) don't seem to have any problems slipping on it, and it shakes off really well when covered in grass or dirt etc.
I LOVE that it has a cotton top and not the regular flannel top that so many others have. EVERYTHING from grass to leaves to sand sticks to flannel picnic blankets, but this one just shakes everything off in a pinch. LOVE IT.
They have also included the folding directions on the cardboard insert in the bag AND on a tag sewn to the actual blanket. A great little feature that makes it so much simpler to get packed up again.
I'm very happy with my purchase. A great picnic blanket that I look forward to getting lots more use out of :)
