Tuffy's Larry Lobster Sea Creature's Dog Toy

I have two labs. They can chew anything up. Including Tuffies products rated up to a 10. HOWEVER, the Tuffies products last longer than most, so they are worth buying. I agree with the other reviewer that the claw was chewed up in a few hours. It was probably a few weeks before they chewed the whole thing apart. A year later, we still have the skeleton of the toy, and they like to play fetch with it.

My dog Chance LOVED his Lobbie (lobster) he always picked it as one of his two toys to take to doggie day care. It lasted way longer than other plush toys-- Jan- mid- March. However he chewed thru it and had the stuffing in his mouth last night--- NO MORE LOBBIE for Chance.

Again, I applaud this company for making a tough toy-- but in my experience it is tough enough to last 2 + months.

Larry the Lobster Sea Creature is the 4th Tuffy dog toy I purchased over the past year. We still have all the originally Tuffy toys and they in good shape and still in one piece. Tuffy brand is the only stuffed toy I will buy,because they are durable. However Larry Lobster lasted only about an hour with my dog. The tail has no stuffing or reinforcement so it tore of easily. It was a complete waste of my money.

My golden retriever can tear a stuffed toy apart in a few minutes. He doesn't do that with this lobster. Granted, we have had it for 3 weeks, and in another 3, it will most likely be gone. Still, for a toy he loves, it lasts and lasts! I will be buying a replacement lobster, and perhaps an octopus! Thanks!

The lobster lasted longer, but met a similar fate. My dog is a power chewer and was destuffing this thing within 24 hours.

If your dog is an average chewer this will last fine. If you have a mega-destructor like I do, save your money.

For the record, he is a 40lb boxer(?) mix, and I have yet to meet a plush or soft toy that withstands his abuse.

This is one of three toys I bought from the same manufacturer. I got tired of throwing away toy after toy that my large pup enjoyed ripping apart. I knew I needed something to keep her away before she decided the legs on my furniture and pool table looked chew-licious. So far these toys are holding up well. They even withstood tug-of-wars of immense proportions. I can tell they are very well made. If somehow they perish from my pooch's almighty jaws, i'll update and let you know how long they lasted.

Because this one has so many hanging appendages, I don't expect it to last as long as the other two. I bought it because it looked cute and I also wanted to see how much it could take.

My miniature schnauzer is a serious chewer and he made a hole, down to the stuffing, within the first 20 minutes. I will try a Tuffy's "Mega" next and hope that lasts longer.

I received the lobster yesterday afternoon. It was larger than I expected; about three-quarters of the size of my mini dachshund. Nonetheless I gave it to her and she had no problem taking it on. She had great fun wrestling with it, but, after playing with it on-and-off for less than 24 hours, she ripped it open right between the eyes. Stuffing everywhere, toy in the trash. A waste of $17.

My Corgi puppy basically can chew/gnaw threw anything, given time. It only took a day for her to chew off a leg such that it had to be cut off since I do not want any dangling threads that she can ingest. That being said, Larry is much better than a rope chew which has a LOT of dangling threads, which is bad if you are worried about intestinal blockage.

I give it four stars, its a great toy, but you have to know your dog & their chewing patterns. This whole product line advertises how well stitched their black nylon (or whatever fabric that is) is at the seams, but in the end, if your dog is determined, he can chew this off given an hour or two or hard work.

Great product though, well built, just have to match it with the right dog! This company I believe also makes a "mighty ball" which my dog hasn't chewed through yet, mainly because she can't get a good firmhold on that. I recommend people trying that instead for those "chewy" dogs.

I loved this lobster and it seemed very well made. Our 8 month old lab loves flopping it around, but unfortunatly in about 20min he was missing a claw. A couple days later I had to destuff the body because he had gotten it lose. He is currently ripping up the rest and chewing on the skeleton. I wanted this to last so badly. Atleast now I know not to bother with any other stuffed toy until he's older, may re purchase in a few years if it's still around.
