Book Description

November 2003
If you are like most people, you want to make fully informed decisions - the kinds of decisions that energize you and move your life forward.

Here’s the trick, though. Do you still depend on your head to guide you through life? If so, you’re missing the truth that only your heart knows. Tug of Heart helps you tap into that essential source of inspiration and shows you how to:

- trust yourself with dead-rock certainty

- connect with your true passions

- harness synchronicity to attract what you want

- greet each day with joyful and confident anticipation

- live a fulfilling life on your terms

Believe it or not, you already possess all that you need to experience the benefits described above.

SO WHY TUG OF HEART? The key lies in knowing HOW to recognize and use the heart wisdom that you possess. That means understanding how the role of the heart differs from the head, recognizing how your heart conveys messages to you, and how to trust when to act upon the information that comes through.

Tug of Heart fills in the gaps where our linear, left-brained education leaves off. The book helps you to:

- Differentiate head talk from heart talk

- Understand the difference between feelings that come from the head, and those that come from the heart

- Condition your intuitive muscle, and recognize the different ways intuitive messages come through

- Learn what half-heartedness really means

- Face down your fears

- Use your inner guidance system to make decisions that fit you

- Cultivate synchronicity, and understand what inhibits it

Tug of Heart’s "How To" Process Comes With the Following Features:

- True, inspiring stories from people who listened to their heart, (and those who didn’t!).

- Concrete examples to translate "right-brain" concepts into linear, "left-brain" language

- Meaty tips in each chapter, to demonstrate how to use the information

- Well-defined "Heart Practices" - action steps to take in your life right now

- Plain speaking, easy to understand, conversational writing style

None of us would choose to walk around with one eye closed on purpose, would we? Not when we can see with a greater depth of perception when we have both eyes open. Yet we limit ourselves in a similar way when we fail to heed what our heart "sees."

Why live with second-rate choices when there’s another way that takes you to a first-rate life? In the words of Suzanne Falter-Barns, author of How Much Joy Can You Stand? and Living Your Joy: "Stop settling for less. Let Tug of Heart’s stories, examples, and practical advice show you how to make decisions that light up and inspire your life."

Editorial Reviews

From the Author

Have you ever ignored messages from your heart when your head couldn’t make "logical" sense of them? I certainly have, and worst of all, I’ve found that ignoring my heart has proven to be unpleasant and costly. Instead of being in the flow of energy, I’ve experienced resistance and conflict. Making certain decisions, without including my heart, resulted in missed opportunities, and choices that were wrong for me.

Enough of settling for second-rate choices! A number of years ago I made a shift in how I make decisions. I learned how to tap into my heart wisdom more intentionally, and how to use it. As a result, I made a big career change at that time.

Would you like to make decisions you trust with dead rock certainty? Would you like to have access to a process that allows you to feel more confident in moving forward and acting on your choices? Would you like to remember what you already know on the inside?

Feel confident in knowing that I have devoted my professional work over the past 28 years to helping countless others just like you to expand their lives. I do this currently in my role as a Professional Certified Coach, and in the past as a licensed therapist. But most compelling is that I have taken my own advice when it comes to trusting my heart. This book is living proof!

4.0 out of 5 stars Tug of Heart- Opening the door to my own transformation, February 20, 2005

What a wonderful book, and the synchronicity of the timing is impeccable! So much of it resonated with my current shifting on both a personal and professional level. The book is an easy read, encouraging us to stop and listen for direction from within. And though we often don't know what the future holds, the book has reinforced a long-ago knowing... reminding me of my own inner wisdom. And not suprisingly, when I remember to open to my hearts message, it never steers me wrong. Kudos to the author for a timely message. I'm now learning to keep my heart open and to enjoy the ride. Thanks to the author for gracing our lives with this wonderful tale of intuition and abundance.

" I found the book very confirming. It was just what I needed after leaving a job and not feeling like it was the right fit. Gave me some specific items to think about before I moved on to my present job. I am now in a job in which I am truely happy and enjoy everything I am doing."
