What a great book!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Tumble Me Tumbily (Hardcover)
My 18 month old daughter absolutely loves this book, but I have to admit, I do too! The pictures are so sweet and soft, but they still capture her imagination. She loves this book. We read it every night before bed, and I never get sick of it. The verses are fun and creative, and she loves hearing about "grape jelly and giggle belly".

Again, Again,

This is the kind of book that elicits cries of "again, again" as soon as you are finished reading it. Fortunately, it belongs to the small subcategory of "again, again" books that are palatable for adults even after the first 10 or 15 readings. That's because the language is surprising, creative and just plain fun. Also, I find the concept of a book "narrated" by a toddler incredibly charming. I would not be surprised if this became another "Goodnight, Moon."

You'll be tumbled over!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Tumble Me Tumbily (Hardcover)
Lines from this delightful book instantly wriggled their way into my family's vocabulary. My daughter begs, "Snuggle me snuggly!" when she's tired. And of course she opts for the title "Tumble me tumbly!" as well as "scoop me up, swoop me up" when she's feeling boisterous. This is a lovely book, with bouncy fun-to-read language, appealing illustrations, and a warm emotional tone that's bound to make it as much a favorite at your house as it is at mine. Warning though: buy two copies - your first one is likely to wear out before your kid is done with it.

Little listeners will be dragging this book out again and again asking "Read to me!" Hearing "Tumble Me Tumbily" read aloud is a joyful treat. The illustrations adorable! A perfect baby gift book.

This is by far the best baby book EVER. My kids love the rhymes. I read it over and over again. This should go in every baby gift like Goodnight Moon so often does.

This is one of my favorite books for my toddler, we read it more when she was littler, between a year and two years. The rhymes are fun without being too boring for adults, the illustrations are gorgeous, funny, and clever. A great book for kids and parents.

Originally picked this up at the library. The illustrations are soft and tender and whimsical at the same time. The rhythm of the text when read aloud is joyful and soothing. The book is divided into three sections, which I find unnecessary and a little choppy in flow, but a great book for bedtime or quiet time nonetheless.

Addictive reading for the young set,

I find the language annoying but the pictures are charming and keep my interest for the thousands of times I have read this. My almost-2-year-old daughter loves it so much that I'm buying it because I can no longer keep checking it out from the library. Even though I know it by heart, she still needs to know that the actual book is there.

What a wonderful story to read aloud. It is very lyrical, with a sing-song quality and clever, fun rhymes. There is one section about getting up, one section on mealtime, and another on bedtime. All are wonderful, and are available separately as three boardbooks. My boys are now 3 and 5, and this is still a favorite in our home.
