It's alright. not too special. the images are more like rough sketches. some lines were a little too repetitive. but i did find it amusing. it's not very long.

if your the kind of person that doesn't like randomly inserted flashbacks, then this will irk you; personally, i found it was an element that was pulled off pretty smoothly.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hello Zoom Function! December 28, 2009
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This was the first comic I viewed on my new Kindle 2--I chose it because it was free. The comic is great. I was worried about it being formatted for the larger DX, but once I found out you could zoom in using the 5-way controller, it became quite comfortable to read.

2.0 out of 5 stars Looks like the rough sketch for a completed comic January 18, 2010
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I'm sorry but this was just poor. Couldn't get through the dialog, especially during the hospital-car scenes, due to the very loose drawing. Those type of renderings work for storyboards done on demand but not in graphic storytelling.
And, as said before, the gratuitous language is distracting. I still have strong hope for the kindle as a medium for comics, though.

3.0 out of 5 stars Its OK... and that is all. July 1, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
THis is my first graphic novel for the kindle, and I was rather excited because I enjoy both graphic novels AND free stuff.

For being a free chapter, this is not too bad, BUT my major pet peeve is the size of the artwork on the kindle.. its TINY! I have to hold the dang thing real close to my face just to see the facial expressions on the characters.

I do not know if every kindle graphic novel has text and pictures this small, but unless you have eyes of a freakin' hawk- I suggest you just buy physical graphic novels, ones with color and large, legible text/pictures.

As for the chapter's CONTENT, I wasnt as "swayed" as the other reviewers. I had no idea what was going on in some scenes and character entrances are very abrupt- adding to the confusion.

It wasnt as great as I expected it to be, but I will read the 2nd chapter just to see if it gets better.. HOPEFULLY the next chapter will clear some things up... that is when I locate my magnifying glass in order to read it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Kindle + Graphic Book = Desaster May 14, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I have not yet found an ereader that can render enough of a graphic novel to make it worth buying a graphic novel for an ereader. with that said, I have published comics of my own, as well as worked as editor and chief of an indi comic company for over seven years, this book did not move me. The art, although greatly rendered, was not exciting to say the least. The story was more exciting but lacked in many areas.

Its a free read so you can try it if you like.

as several others, i read this because it was free on the kindle and i wanted to try out my new kindle with a comic. i was disappointed in the format. it is not at all optimized for kindle's screen format, thus making it a difficult read. you would have better luck on your computer using the kindle reader app.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good read but need panel view feature
So far its a great comic that's intriguing. Only one big problem is the there isn't any panel view. So you have to constantly be zooming in and out to read the comic. Read more

An original idea and an intriguing start to a story, with a strangely sympathetic hero. It definitely made me want to read more.
