The first bonita flakes I bought my cats were the Cat-Man-Do brand. My two cats are pretty picky but loved the flakes. I bought this brand next because it was cheaper but the cats won't eat it. I had large long flakes of this brand out and put the very last crumbs of the other kind down next to them and my cats both tried to lick up the crumbs and ignored this brand.

I compared the ingredients of the two brands, and the only difference is that CittiKitty contains Ash. Whatever that means, it was a deal breaker for my cats.

Also, if you have a Japanese or Asian grocery store in town, you can purchase katsuobushi, which is pure Bonita flakes meant for human consumption, so a better quality, and they are much cheaper.

I'm to blame. I tried to save a couple of bucks on my cat's bonito flakes and switched to another brand.

My kitty, Goose, is usually so gung ho when I open up a package of these treats. So after these CittiKitty fish flakes arrived, I showed her the container and got her all worked into a tizzy. I placed a few of the airy-light flakes on the floor in front of her. She took a small sniff and drew back with a highly offended look on her face (she IS a highly-opinionated cat). I kept encouraging her and offered extra pieces both from my hand and also from her feeding bowl. The only contact she made was a paw swipe at one of the larger pieces.

The ingredient listing is the same as the type I usually buy...just dried bonito flakes. These from CittiKitty list an ash content of 17% which the other brand didn't list. All I can figure is that they're processed in a different way and, therefore, smell odd to her. I would assume they taste different too -- but we never got that far. The container recommends refrigeration after opening.

I tried again the following two days in hopes that she had just had an off day. Nope...same reaction. Fortunately, my two dogs love to devour anything edible (and some things that aren't). I think the fish flakes confuse them, though, since they're so light and airy. The flakes just disappear on their tongue. Sort of reminds me of Listerine breath strips that dissolve on your tongue...except fishy tasting. Urp.

I have two cats out of 6 that love these tuna flakes! One of the cats drives ecstasy until I give it to him. If you order this be sure to order small containers ( 2 oz rather than 6) because I ordered a larger one and it spoiled. Keep it in the refrigerator when not in use. We've tried other brands and this is the best according to my cats!

Rain and cold weather go hand in hand, especially because they make our pets go crazy. When it's cold out, the cats can't decide whether they want to go in or out and every time the dogs come in from outside, they're hyped up and full of energy. When it's raining, everyone goes stir crazy from being cooped up inside. Since Texas winters don't see much in the way of snow, we tend to get a lot of rain. Thankfully, we now have TunaTreats to help keep the kitties calm.

TunaTreats are dried flakes of 100% pure bonito fish. The first time the container was opened, the cats went wild. The pieces, thinner than paper and light enough to blow away if you're not careful, came out of the container in manageable clumps. Next thing I knew, five cats were swarming me, looking up and meowing, trying to climb my chair. I had a captive audience! What I didn't expect was the moment the dogs joined in.

TunaTreats are completely healthy and a good "anytime" treat. Our kitties get a good-sized pinch of their new favorite TunaTreats a couple of times each day. With this, they stay nice and calm as they munch. They've also learned to eat all their TunaTreats - our dogs are just waiting for a cat to leave a little bit behind!

I have a 13-year-old VERY FINICKY cat and he absolutely went crazy for this before I even had the chance to open the jar completely. The texture is unlike any other that I have seen for a cat treat, as it is in the form of flakes. But, without a doubt, this is the best cat treat I have ever found for my cat and I will surely be getting more. You can tell the quality is definitely in the making process of this treat. I honestly, in my opinion, do not feel that there is anything that can even come close to comparing with this treat. Way to go, CitiKitty!

The day I received this I gave some to Meeloo and for a fussy cat she really went crazy for this! I give her a tiny bit everyday and everyday she meows for more. She doesn't like to take food out of your hands so I had to put it in her food dish with her food and it didn't take her long to eat it all.
After a week of giving her some TunaTreats and she sees me in the kitchen near where I keep her treats she comes up to me and meows like crazy until I give her some of those TunaTreats .

Even Azrael (our 7month old puppy) loves these.

My cats absolutely LOVE this. When they hear me get the jar they all line up for their share. The flakes are packed pretty tightly so there is more in the jar than appears. After I give them their pinch I close the jar and shake it. The flakes loosen and fill the jar again. I have 4 cats and I have had this jar for a few months and it is still over half full. I will definitely buy this product again. It's a very special treat for my kitties that they get along with the harder ones for their teeth.
