5.0 out of 5 stars I like this armband for my ipod

THIS ARMBAND BROKE IN 4 DAYS!! The armband is a really good design with a great neopreme pocket flap to help keep your Ipod dry but the huge problem with the carrier is the feaux leather/vinyl. From the moment I bought the carrier, I knew this would be a problem. The vinyl is extremely brittle and easily torn. I thought that if I was careful with the carrier it would last...

I thought that if I was careful with the carrier it would last (It was cheap enough for a few months of good use, which was fine for me)...I thought wrong. The design issue is that they used this terrible vinyl in the loop that holds the armband to itself. That is the point that gets the most stress during use!The first time I tried to adjust it during a jog, it was history. I was not putting undo pressure, stress, or abusing it in anyway. Do not buy this carrier. Spend more and get something that will work.

The stitching came loose and completely ripped the first time I tried to use this armband. I'm not Hulk Hogan or anything, the product just stinks.

I had been looking for the ideal armband for my ipod to use while on the treadmill. When I saw this one, it seemed like what I was looking for. So far, I really like it and have no major complaints. The only think I didn't like is the plastic cover over the control panel. It was really difficult to adjust the volume, especially while running. I solved the problem by cutting a circle in the plastic and it works perfect. The construction seems sturdy and it doesn't move about on my arm unless I move it. I have a small frame and it fits me fine. I wear it on my right bicep.

1.0 out of 5 stars Waist of time and money, September 4, 2005
This review is from: Tune Belt Open View Sports Armband for iPod classic & iPod touch & iPod video (Electronics)
This product has such a bad quality that I just could not even look at it. Based on the price (USD 18 almost - not too cheap), I would expect a minimum quality level ..... however, I realized it was made in Taiwan and based on the quality it should not cost more tha 1 USD to be made.

Waste of time and money. Forget it!
.... Try another product.

5.0 out of 5 stars iPod arm band, March 8, 2007

I generally don't like to run with anything on my arms, but this arm band made carrying an iPod so much more comfortable. It also has a small pouch for a house key, your car key, etc. It also keeps my iPod dry on wet days.

3.0 out of 5 stars What you get for the money., October 30, 2007

This product does the job, and at the low price I can't complain too much. BUT....I wish I'd of spent more money on a better product. Especially considering I'm putting a $300 piece of equipment in it. If you have small arms, it is tough to stay up. It is not easy to adjust either. I like the feature of the Velcro slot for your ear buds to be wrapped up, but the holes for the plugs on top and bottom don't line up. This product works, per say, but don't have high expectations.

It does the job and stays on your arm but it probably works better for the iPod classic or iPod video than the touch. If you just want something cheap its pretty good I guess. Thats what I was looking for anyway.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I was looking for, April 6, 2011
This review is from: Tune Belt Open View Sports Armband for iPod classic & iPod touch & iPod video (Electronics)
I've had this armband for over two years and am only on Amazon to order a spare and one for my daughter; my first armband is still working just fine. I went through several armbands before finally finding this one, and it's perfect for my running. My skin is slightly sensitive, and no matter which armband I tried, the velcro on the strap rubbed and irritated my upper arms. No matter which way the velcro faces, there's always a sharp corner on the hook (scratchy) side. I'm of average size, smack in the middle of the BMI "healthy" range, but every velcro-adjustable armband I've tried had to be pulled to the smallest, tightest size, which irritated my skin even more. This armband has NO velcro at all, just a neoprene adjustable strap, and it's snug enough to hold tight but won't rub my arm raw.

I also go running with my 7-year-old daughter quite a bit. Finding an armband to fit her was dang near impossible, but this one can be tightened to fit her. It also adjusts just fine to fit my 6'2", 225-lb husband.

I don't have an iPod, and I've gone through a couple of different smartphones: the Palm/Treo Centro, HTC Droid Eris, and now an HTC Thunderbolt. I cut the top of the pouch off, and the holder stretches to fit all of my phones. Since I don't run with earphones and put my MP3 player on speakerphone to listen to, the fact that my phone sticks out an inch at the top works quite well, and it's still held very securely.

If you want a velcro-tightened armband that completely encloses a phone, this is probably not the one for you. If you have a hard time finding one that's comfortable and secure, this just might do it for you. If I could change anything about this armband, the only thing would be to offer the same neoprene strap with a slightly larger pouch, since my phones seem to be getting bigger rather than smaller.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not what is advertised, February 15, 2011

In the descriptions of this product it said it was water proof. I assumed the opening to put your ipod in would be against your arm, sealing it from rain. There is just a big opening on top to slide your iPod into it. Also, it says it works for a Classic which is what I ordered it for. The hole for the earphones is on the bottom, but the jack is on the top of the iPod. It is not meant for a Classic, and you could find an armband better suited for the Classic.

It is a nice product, it seems to be built well and it might work great for a different style iPod and if you don't plan to use it in any kind of wet weather. But it is not waterproof and definitely not for the iPod Classic.

4.0 out of 5 stars A nice product but can be improved a little!, October 14, 2009

I like this arm band for the fact that I have quite slim arms and this has enough flexibility to adjust the width of the band around your upper arms. It has good protection for my Ipod classic while I walk, jog, workout or work in the garden. It keeps the ipos well secured. Having a little flap to keep the extra cord in place is a big plus for me. It does protect the ipod fron the sweat from inside too since it has lining on the inside as well. Couple of small problems I faced was it did not fit very snugly so the clear plastic cover outside does not feel smooth and tight. Second, its hard to move the controls through the clear plastic cover. But I found the easy solution by cutting the round hole of the shape of the middle circle on the Ipod.
