I'm happy with this, it works for my grandkids who play High school musical on the wii. And it works for my husband when he plays rock band on the xbox. its not heavy, so the kids are OK with it.

I'm giving this mic a four star based on cost, usability, and function.
The mic works well with Rock Band, and that's my intended use. There is a bit of an echo I notice since the mic tends to pic up all ambient sound, but it serves it's purposes well as the third mic for RB.
As A PC mic, wow, not that good. Lot's of echo, I get a feedback, and even with setting the PC to compensate it's not that great.
The smaller size is fine. It didn't bother me.
The cost compared to RB official mics and other alternatives is a plus.
Overall I'd recommend the item if you on a budget, and need something that works.

I bought the 5 in 1 Wired Video Gaming Microphone as a gift for my wife. She had one microphone that came with her Beatles Rock Band set (Wii), but wanted an additional one for harmonies. This microphone actually has a better sound quality than the Rock Band version and is louder also. It also has a sort of non-slip rubber coating on it so you don't drop it. It has an amazingly long cord that reached from one side of our family room to the other! The only downside could be the small size. It doesn't fit well into microphone stands that we have because it is a little small.

Great build quality and performance. Once I figured out that you needed a Dualshock controller on with the mic (on Rock Band 3,) it worked flawlessly. Don't hesitate to buy.

1 - several reviewers have written about this mic not working with Wii Guitar Hero. There is a tiny piece of paper with instructions on it included in the package - I almost missed it myself. And besides (I thought), who needs instructions for hooking up a USB microphone?? Well, the instructions are not common sense. There is the standard on/off switch on the mic itself of course. However, there is an on/off switch close to the USB connection as well - for Wii Guitar Hero, this needs to be switched off.

2 - So, it does work with Wii Guitar Hero. However, I was disappointed in the delay. It clearly does not work as well as my original mic did.

So far, this microphone is working well. I got it to use for my daughter's rock star birthday party this weekend. We got the Disney Sing It for the Wii, and tested it out the other day. Hooking it up was easy enough (just read the directions so you know how to set it).

For what it cost, and what we'll be using it for, this one meets our needs. Hope it lasts a while!

Works well, fraction of the price than what you would pay at electronics store. Comes with instructions on how to set microphone so it works with your game (different settings for xbox/playstation and varies game to game. If you read it, and follow it, it WILL work. At first I thought it didn't work like some of the other reviews on here, most likly people don't notice the little black switch on the side that controls your setting. No echo, works like a charm!

This isn't fancy but who cares! Hahaha! It works like it's suppose to. I'm happy :)

It's smaller than the name brand Rock Band PS3 mic, but works just as good if not better.

It generates a bit of an echo, but if you place it at a comfortable distance and don't shout into it it actually works great, no regrets in general.
