I received this ring as my wedding band and I love it. We actually picked it out together prior to our wedding and I must say, I have pretty good taste. ;)
My hands are fairly large for my size, and though I've never been a ring/jewelry wearer, this ring just "fits" and I really enjoy wearing it. It's heavy enough that I'm aware of it, but not so much that I'm annoyed by it. It's wide enough that it's pretty visible, but it's not "too much". I like the contrast that the two metals create; it's a simple, modern take on a classic look, but not completely plain. Of course these things are very much subjective and personal so there's no point in saying "this is THE BEST ring". I can attest to the excellent quality, so if you like the look, you should be confident in purchasing it. I do get nice compliments on the look, and I think they're sincere. The one negative to be aware of---which really isn't a negative but just a fact of the material---is that the gold portion does scratch quickly and easily. But again, that's gold, and I just look at it as my "personalizing" it.
