The Tunnel is a good party album,
By Stan Lathrop (Rocklin, California) - See all my reviews

Funkmaster Flex is a good DJ. On The Tunnel him and fellow DJ Big Kap assemble the biggest names in hip hop. This is definetly a great cd to get a party started. The best songs are Real G's with Snoop Dogg. He raps freestyle over Notorious B.I.G. beats provided by Flex. Other songs that are good are the 2Pac/Biggie live freestyle, but too bad it's short, Raekwon on Dem Want War, a rare rap artist to be featured on this kind of mixtape. Method Man's song is okay, but it isn't produced by Flex or the RZA too bad! Funkmaster Flex and Big Kap produced maybe like 5 songs on it but the others are done by Rockwilder, who produces the crappy Jay-Z song and Mannie Fresh who produces the Cash Money Millionaires song. LL Cool J's song is pretty tight. Good beats good production. Other than those songs that's about all that is good on this mixtape. It is a great cd to get a party started.

Flex does it again,

I really don't understand how anyone could not love this CD, I don't know anyone who owns this CD that has put in another CD since they bought it, and I know quite a few people who own it. Even the people who don't like the CD have admitted that the Biggie/Tupac Freestyle and If I Get Locked Up are both phat tracks. I can't believe no one has mentioned track 6 yet, True with Method Man and E-Dub is by far the best track on the whole album. This CD is worth buying just for that track.

Flex-N The Funkmaster's Way,

This ain't 60 minutes of FUNK but it everything that Flex stans for Xcellence. Together with Big Kap this is really a immaculate CD. These dudes put together a CD like U ain't never heard B4. This album has everyone U can think of, everyone U wanna hear, from the legendary 2pac & Biggie to the crazy @$$ dude that's Eminem. This album just flows U put it in and that's it, there is no skipping cause every song is slamming. Rap fans this is for U this may B the best work by the master yet, but don't take my word for it go get it.

has FMF ever put out a wack album? not yet...,
By Aaron G (Seattle, Wa) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Tunnel (Audio CD)
The beats are always tight, FMF and Kap leave it up to the artist to produce a good track. So to that end, there are some good and some bad, but the good ones are outstanding, and the bad ones are just slightly subpar. Too many good tracks to list on this review. In these days where you might get 4 good songs out of 10 on a cheesy album, 90% of these songs are HOT, and there's 21 tracks. True hip hop is always showcased by FMF in the form of freestyles and medleys by artists on top of their game. Keep it up with the good music, highly recommended.

one of the hottest joints out,

i feel that the tunnel is one of the hottest c.d's out now. flex & big kap showed their skills with this c.d--> throwing all kinds of different artists on it. Eminem & dre, noreaga, ruff ryders, and the rocafella soldiers are the hottest songs. and lets not forget fat man scoop because it gets you in that mood to actually go to the club "the tunnel" itself. i give creditwhen it's due and this mos def. deserves credit. good job boys & keep up the good work!

The Tunnel is one of the best compilations out now!,
By J. Highsmith (Mitchellville, Maryland United States) - See all my reviews

What makes this CD so good is how it blends well together despite the different artists on the CD. The highlights are the Ruff Ryders "We In Here", Eminem and Dr. Dre "If I Get Locked Up", "For My Thugs" w/ The Rocafella Crew and "Respect" w/ The Cash Money Millionaires. This CD reminds me of "The Professional" by DJ Clue. There are a lot of different rappers but the CD still stays in one accord. For anyone that already has Jay-Z, The LOX, DMX or Dr. Dre at this time, "The Tunnel" is a worthy addition to your collection

They should have called it the Furnace....tight!,
By I.B. (Westampton, NJ) - See all my reviews

This new one from Funkmaster flex and Dj Kapp is their tightest cd yet. It's not much dj's out there besides clue, and Kapri that can hold it down in hip/hop...but with this cd......Flex and Kapp will be at the top for a while. The songs here to look out for are from:.....Mary J., Jay-z, Ruff Ryders, Dre + Eminem, Redman . MOst of the tracks are good though and my Fav. track is with Dre and Eminem....the beat is crazy. If u never heard flex....get this! If u just looking for a tight mix cd period...then u should stop reading and starting going to the store or start clicking on the order button!

Flex keeps it going,

Funkmaster has put together an above average hip hop album. Some hot tracks are the Biggie/Tupac Freestlye, the Eminem/Dre song, and Snoop' song. The Album is kind of short and you feel like you wish you could have gotten more. But you should pick it up, definetly.

I don't even remember one of these songs on the radio. One of the best hip-hop compilations ever. From Eminem to Dre to Snoop to Beanie to Nas, some of their most original work. An outstanding piece of work.
