Tupperware 2-Cup Quick Shake Gravy Container

As a veteran of dietary supplement powders (multivitamins, fiber, and mysterious green powders), this is the best shaker I've used to date! The tight-fitting lid stays firmly in place, even after months of use, unlike the cheap dribble shaker that came with the vitamin powder, and the domed top allows plenty of air space for optimal blending. My supplements dissolve faster and without the clumping I sometimes experienced with my old flat-topped 16 ounce shaker. I like the fact the container's see-thru and calibrated: ounces, cups, and ml. The plastic is lightly textured on the outside for a non-slip grip, and very smooth on the inside for optimal shaking and easy cleaning. The plastic is stable, so lacks that yucky plastic smell. In addition to supplement powders, this shaker, complete with pour top (make sure it's locked in place before shaking) would be great for smaller portions of salad dressings, where you don't want to drag out the blender.

In addition to a shaker, this container doubles as a covered drink container for the car, since the lid stays on tight, and the bottom is narrow enough to fit in all but the flimsiest cup holders. A friend takes his Tupperware shaker to the juicebar for carryout juices! The pour-top doubles as an opening for a straw, for kids or people who need to drink from a straw (like when I had a neck injury). A calibrated drink container can also be helpful for people trying to make sure they drink 8 glasses of water a day.

While the listed price seems like a lot to pay for a shaker, if it's like my other Tupperware containers, it'll be around for decades!

This is my 2nd favorite Tupperware item. I use it all the time for making gravies, scrambling eggs, making Kool Ade, Mixing pudding, and even as a liquid measuring cup. I've got about 5 of them in my cupboard.
O.K. Here is how to get that darn top to go on. Soak the top and bottom in HOT water and let them sit to heat up and become soft. Now take them out and seal every thing up. put it aside and let it cool. The top has now been stretched to fit the bottom and will go on much easier in the future. This technique works for just about all Tupperware plastic products.
One important thing to remember is NEVER use warm or hot liquid in the Quickshake because when you shake it up the top blows off (unless you are a practical joker).
By the way my first favorite is the Quick Chef. :-)

If you own any Tupperware, you will love this item. It is one of those kitchen essentials for shaking up a quick protein drink or a small portion of salad dressing.

I admit, like Mito says in her review, these are ideal for the car. So, I purchased two. One for the kitchen, one for the car! I use it mostly in the summer and take out the star shaped ring in the middle when using ice and not mixing a drink.

When making salad dressing just for two people, it is nice to just pour the salad dressing onto each salad and then save the rest for lunch the next day.

my main problem with this cup is the lid is absurdly difficult to get on. I was amazed at how much trouble I had considering this is a name brand cup. I suspected the problem could be me, so I handed it off to a male to see if he would have equal trouble as well - and he did.
The cap on top of the lid takes so long to coax into place that the only way I've deemed this cup usable is to just leave it closed all the time. Other than that the cup seems to be fine. The markings (c, oz, and ml) are clear and readable. It is also easy to clean (if using protein powder it is probably best to rinse it out right away), though I cannot say how it fares in a dishwasher. If you do not want a cup that is a hassle to put together and you are just making simple shakes, you will probably want to look elsewhere.

I've owned one of these for about 7 years. It stands up very well to wear, except that measurement markings have worn off. Maybe if you handwash it, that won't happen - I usually put mine through the dishwasher.

I have been using my Quick Shake Container for more than 8 years. I think it is one of the best kitchen items I have ever purchased. It mixes any thing liquidy in constence very well.

The lid and snap closure are still in perfect condition. I never have any trouble cleaning it. I use a little bit of soap and hot water.

One downside: is that the 2 cup measurements printed on the plastic cyclinder have rubbed off after such long use.

To reslolve: I took a permanent marker and wrote the measurements on the cyclinder, fix that problem. NO need to buy another one.

... Because of my new diet I have to eat and drink more protien powders and the like as suppliments for my exercise program. This works great! The top stays on with limited tossing around. It's nice to have a drink that when you knock it over, won't spill. It hasn't scratched up yet after 20+ uses; still looks good as new.

My one complaint is that the seal on the top that closes the hole in the lid was hard for me to get on there precicesly; but I also have bad carpal tunnel .....P>All in all, it was worth every penny. I even got a second one I use for cooking now.

This is a fantastic shaker mixer that is designed well and is ergonomically shaped to fit your hand. This mixer thoroughly blasts any chunks and "powder pellets" to shreads! The lid fits very tightly, and seals well. I have several Tupperware products and have never had any problems with exchanging with a local representative the pieces/lids/snap-on's that were defective or didn't fit quite right.

I know many of you seen reviews about this product leaking, thats all bogus this is a great product. First of all the lid is so tight it took me like 5 minutes just to get it on, from time i saw that i knew it wasn't going to leak i use it to mix my protein shakes and those little blades help to break all the clumps. So if you guys looking for a good protein shaker this is the one.

I pour, measure, shake, and drink all in one!!

I have two of these. One is always in the dishwasher and the other is always ready to go. They are wonderful to use for protein or diet shakes. Although the plastic lid is not quite as sturdy as the older models they still do a great job.
The new feature on these models is the measurement markings. That is a big plus over the vintage models. These work and perform very well and are great for Protein Shakes.
