A Marinaders Dream!,
By albert bosch (Chicago, IL) - See all my reviews

I own two of these and would recommend them to anyone who is serious about marinading. The insides of the double lids have raised 'knobs' allowing for the marinade to fully coat the food. Another great feature is that you just turn the container over to marinade on the opposite side. When done grilling, it also serves as a great container to keep food warm, serve from and even to store leftovers in the fridge. Two thumbs up!

Marinate and save,

Using the Tupperware Season-serve you can save money by buying and marinating tougher cuts of meat. The design allows the use of less marinade to still coat the large quantities the marinator holds. It's easy to use and works perfectly for what it was designed for.

I bought this when I got tired of marinating in plates, bowls and mismatched plastic ware. I liked it. Tupperware is a great product, lasts forever (If you dont believe me, look at all the wintage tupperware on auction sites) washes well and over time will eventually become cost effective.Having said all that...sometime after buying and using it, happily...I found that marinating meats (this doesnt work as well with chicken on the bone) is much easier and space saving if i put my meat and marinade in a ziploc...get all the air out and seal it. It takes up much less room in the fridge and requires alot less turning because when you remove the air the marinade surrounds the meat (depending on the thickness) more effectively. I would say this is a good tupperware product if you need something of this size for multiple uses..and can justify using it many times for many things. I wouldnt buy it just for use to marinade or just for storage. I think if i had to buy it again..I would want to be able to say that I could use it several times a week for storing (baked good, maybe deli, snacks) marinading, transporting items...etc. I think that is the only way this would make a *solid* purchase.
