A Marinaders Dream!,

I own two of these and would recommend them to anyone who is serious about marinading. The insides of the double lids have raised 'knobs' allowing for the marinade to fully coat the food. Another great feature is that you just turn the container over to marinade on the opposite side. When done grilling, it also serves as a great container to keep food warm, serve from and even to store leftovers in the fridge. Two thumbs up!

Marinate and save,

Using the Tupperware Season-serve you can save money by buying and marinating tougher cuts of meat. The design allows the use of less marinade to still coat the large quantities the marinator holds. It's easy to use and works perfectly for what it was designed for.

I bought this when I got tired of marinating in plates, bowls and mismatched plastic ware. I liked it. Tupperware is a great product, lasts forever (If you dont believe me, look at all the wintage tupperware on auction sites) washes well and over time will eventually become cost effective.Having said all that...sometime after buying and using it, happily...I found that marinating meats (this doesnt work as well with chicken on the bone) is much easier and space saving if i put my meat and marinade in a ziploc...get all the air out and seal it. It takes up much less room in the fridge and requires alot less turning because when you remove the air the marinade surrounds the meat (depending on the thickness) more effectively. I would say this is a good tupperware product if you need something of this size for multiple uses..and can justify using it many times for many things. I wouldnt buy it just for use to marinade or just for storage. I think if i had to buy it again..I would want to be able to say that I could use it several times a week for storing (baked good, maybe deli, snacks) marinading, transporting items...etc. I think that is the only way this would make a *solid* purchase.

Used it just once so far. Sealed very well. Just had a little difficult time separating the container when it was time to cook.
Update: After using it several times, I found that all you need to do is try separating the 2 nearest corners of the top part, after that will be easy. It's still hard to separate the corners though. Maybe it has to be like that in order to seal it very well. Size is large enough and storing in an almost full fridge is no problem because it's not odd shaped.

A must have for marinating. I had my last one over 10 years. Had a little accident between the container and a hot grill. The grill won. Buy this product it works well and spreads the marinade evenly.

Super!,

I bought two of these a few years ago through a sale on the Tupperware website. I don't know if I love them so much that I would pay the price listed here ($23), but if you're looking for an incredibly tight-sealing super-awesome marinating dish, then you should buy this. I never marinated much before buying these because it was always such a pain to get my meats/veggies evenly coated, but all you've got to do with these is give them a flip or a little shake and your marinade is simultaneously re-mixed and spread over whatever you're coating. Also, the nubs on the surface of both the "top" and "bottom" make sure your meats/veggies don't sit directly on the container surface (further ensuring good coverage). Really like these ... I'd give them 3 or 4 stars because of the crazy price, but if I'm just rating the item, I've got to go with a 5.

I love this container. With inside dimensions of 9" wide by 11" long by 4" high, an 8x8 cake pan with loftily frosted contents can be housed in this just fine. It's also great for its intended use of marinating. With its durable construction and handsome colors, this is a great addition to any kitchen.

I have 2 Season-Serve containers and 1 is over 15 years old and still as good as new. I use them for everything...marinating meat (obviously), storing cookies, cupcakes, etc. and clean them in the dishwasher. I think this is a must-have for every kitchen.
