This is a great cake taker. The old Tupperware cake taker had a handle that was separate. I could never keep up with where I put it. This one has the handle attached. That is a good idea. I also like the way that the other side of the base has a place to put cupcakes so they will not slide around. I used it today to bring my cupcakes to the office party. It makes a great presentation too. This is perfect for mothers to send cupcakes to their children's class for holiday parties. It's great for cakes. You can travel with them and not worry about the cake getting destroyed. If you do not like to bake, you can purchase a cake from your local bakery and keep it fresh in this cake taker. Everyone needs to have one of these. The Round Cake Taker is also very nice.

In 2000 I took cake classes and looked all over for cake takers I could only find cake covers or glass cake domes but no actual latching takers until I found Tupperware.
I have all of them!
The Rectangular taker has a flat bottom and the other side has little holes to keep cupcakes from moving during travel.
When your not taking a cake in it you can also store 2 loaves of bread in it to keep the bread fresh and you are utilizing your Tupperware during down time from cake baking.

If you have a young child and you send them to school with cupcakes, this is the best carrier that you could have.

I'm a novice baker but I love decorating the goodies that I make so that they are extra appealing. The problem prior to this purchase was that when I would make and decorate my cupcakes, they would get ruined in transit as I did not have the right equipment to transport them. This Tupperware "cupcake taker" changed all of that for me as it holds 18 cupcakes inside individual shallow cup holders so that they don't touch and therefore stay nice. Additionally, the "cupcake taker" bottom can be turned over so that it can be used to transport a sheet cake. This is a great purchase and although it may seem a bit pricey over $[...], it is worth every penny.

If you are a parent who needs to bring cakes or cupcakes to school/day care, this is a basic necessity!
I LOVE mine. It is convenient for carrying the cakes and easy to clean. I've had mine for over 5 years, and it still looks new.

I love to make cupcakes for my 2 boys. I take them to all of their events and i always make a batch to take on our camping trips . They would always get messed up, and this cake taker has solved that problem. Its very sturdy. I recommend it to all that have kids.

I bake a lot of cakes and have many different carriers. This is my favorite. It was stolen and I replaced it quickly. It is sturdy and secure and I like that it can be used for cupcakes as well as a cake. I place the cake directly on it rather than using a plate or cake board. Very, very handy!
