These are the older soup mugs but I think I like them the best. Don't have the new ones so I can't compare. I just keep getting these as long as I still can. They are great for when you make soup and want to store serving sizes. Of course that means a big 2 cup serving size but when soup is your meal that's perfect. I wish they stacked with one inside the other but the best you will be able to do is stack them one on top of the closed lid of the other. With Tupperware you have to be careful to not let things get too hot (actually cook) or they will damage the insides. Does not affect use. Tupperware tells you when something is just for heating food and this is one of those things.

Take my lunch to work and love to bring homemade soups. This is just the right size, doesn't leak and the steam vent is clever and effective. I have used it many times and it still does not leak. It is sort of like the safety pin, simple, clever and useful. Kind of like the orange color too.

Sadly disappoining!,

I got this for heating soup in the microwave but found that after a few times it started to peel on the inside, so was very disappointed. Also the seal is so stiff it's still, after over a year, hard not to get steam burn when removing it (I do have arthritis so that may be specific to my own lack of dexterity). Having said all that it's still a really useful item and I'm hoping to get more of them soon. Reading other reviews it seems only mine has the peeling problem, so maybe it's just that I got a dud (it happens)?
