I already had a set of these w/ blue lid. The black is a good mix when you can't find it. I was looking to expand my spice shakers to keep my cabinet organized. I love these, I've had a set for about 10 years & can't believe it took me this long to expand.
They clean real easy, I usually just pop the lid off and open the top lips ( one is open for a measuring spoon, the other side has shaker holes). Then I just put them in the dishwasher. I too use a label maker to mark them. I have the square carousel, mines maxed w/ 4 tall & 16 short. But 4 of my tall I use the most stand organized. I might expand to another carousel if I keep up with my cooking & baking exploration

These containers are super for keeping your spices and small items fresh. I don't find them more difficult to open than other plastic topped spice holders, but I haven't yet found a satisfactory way to keep them in the cupboard. They tend to tip over in my pull-out drawer and, even though I've labeled them, it's hard to find what you're looking for. The containers were much too expensive for me to give up on them just yet. If I find a 'perfect' solution for storing and labeling them, I'll be sure to post it.

I was so relieved to have found this spice container set on Amazon. I have the turntable, too; and these containers are easy to handle, easy to fill, and keep the spices and herbs fresher than the metal cans. They take up less space than the glass jars, and they're unbreakable!
