Product Description

Amazon.com Review
Ingeniously designed to store half an onion, tomato, grapefruit--or any other food--in the refrigerator where it won't be lost, these two containers prevent waste and save space. Their arms have hooked ends so they can be hung from the side of a refrigerator shelf flat against the refrigerator's sidewall--out of the way yet immediately visible as a reminder. Because they come with Tupperware's legendary seal--virtually airtight and leak-proof--food inside will remain fresh and flavorful. Seals are hinged to prevent them from being misplaced, and the containers have clear windows to reveal their contents at a glance. One container is Delta Blue, the other Bermuda Green. They measure 4-1/2 inches in diameter and 2-3/4 inches high. Virtually unbreakable and dishwasher-safe, Tupperware carries a lifetime warranty against chipping, cracking, breaking, and peeling. --Fred Brack

4.0 out of 5 stars Great idea, but...., January 12, 2002
By C. Douglass (Cary, Illinois United States) - See all my reviews

This thing is great for onions, not so great for leftover tomato. BUT, it doesn't hang on the side of my shelf worth a hill of beans. I've got a 2000 Maytag Fridge with the glass shelves that pull out. I think they're thicker than the older fridge shelves, which might be part of the problem. But whether the shelf stays perfectly staionary or you pull them out, this container does not want to stay put. I've had mine fall repeatedly. Kind of the family joke - attack of the savage leftover onion! So...if you've got a relatively new fridge, get it to keep your onion from going bad, but forget about it as a space saver.

5.0 out of 5 stars how about "squash me not"?, April 7, 2003
By ringo (California) - See all my reviews

Being a good californian, I didn't get these for onions and tomatoes, I got them for hot peppers and kumquats. They work really well for small produce that would otherwise fall to the bottom of the crisper - the current handful of serrano peppers has been in there for almost two months, getting used one at a time, and is almost as fresh as the day it was bought at the farmer's market.

The containers are bigger than I expected (about a "C" cup), and do stick out a bit, which takes up headspace on the shelf below where they are hung. The lids also don't seal as perfectly as most tupperware, since the hinge doesn't fold flat (not a dealbreaker, but I wouldn't use these for liquids). I had no problem getting the hooks to work with my tempered glass Whirlpool shelves.

If you have a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer I would suggest hanging these on the side *away* from the freezer - the freezer-side fridge wall is colder than the air in the fridge, which will cause condensation on the flat side of the forget-me-not, which eventually will cause mold (probably ok for keeping a grapefruit overnight, but a problem after keeping peppers for a month or so).

Overall, these are well worth the money. I'm glad I bought them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for those pesky onions left in the fridge., December 6, 2001
By A Customer
This is neat! These hang on your the shelves in your fridge. They are too cute. But more than just that. They are very useful for the left over onion that you need to keep, but do not want stinking up your fridge. My mom uses hers for keeping her grated cheese in. It hangs where you can see it so you will not forget about what you've put in it. It is also good for keeping the second half of the grapefruit in until the next day. It stores tomatoes, oranges, lemons, or anything that you have just a small amout of to keep cold.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product
Great product for storing and saving space in the fridge. Hangs nicely on the shelf in my fridge (shelf kinda looks like a grill from a bar-b-q).
