5.0 out of 5 stars Just right for sauces and salad dressings
I take my lunch every day, and these are the perfect size for condiments. The lids are a little difficult to get on at first, but after a while the plastic seems to relax a little and they work great.

I think they hold about 3 tablespoons.

3.0 out of 5 stars convenient, but hard to close
As many of the other reviewers have mentioned, there are an awful lot of uses for these little containers. From salad dressing to dry baby formula, i'm almost wishing i had more than six.

Except for the part where it's nearly impossible to get the lid on.

So far, i've only used them for storing garden seeds for next year, and it doesn't matter...

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Little Containers, July 26, 2008
This review is from: Tupperware 6 Pc Midgets Set with Redish Seals (Kitchen)
I love these little containers. Just the right size for small spices etc. One thing I would like to share is a recipe I use and store inside one of these little containers. The doctor told me years ago how to make swimmers ear for my children. All it is is equal parts white vinegar and regular rubbing alcohol. I put about 1 tablespoon white vingegar and 1 tablespoon rubbing alcohol right inside and it keeps for quite a long time and when my children come out of the pool I put a few drops in each of their ears so they never get ear infections. The containers are liquid tight since they have tilted in the cabinet and never leaked. They are small enough so they store right in my spice cabinet and I know exactly where the swimmer's ear mixture is so I have it ready at a moments notice. They are really the best little containers and great for so many uses not just for storing food items.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for Salad Dressing, January 20, 2010

I am fussy about my salad dressing and these small containers are perfect whether I am out ordering a salad or taking my own salad to work. The containers seal tightly and do not leak. The size is right for one serving of dressing. The only drawback is that it is hard to put the lid on and take it off - but it probably has to be that way to make the seal so leak proof. With practice, getting the lid on and off gets a little easier. I have found that if I put the side of the lid on that is facing me and then press the dot in the middle of the lid while I squeeze down and away for me I can get the lid on more easily. However, if you have any difficulty using your hands, I would not recommend this product.

Except for the part where it's nearly impossible to get the lid on.

So far, i've only used them for storing garden seeds for next year, and it doesn't matter that i have to turn the container upside-down and sideways to get the lid on, pushing in on the side and swearing a bit. If i tried to use it for anything that could spill, i'd probably be wearing more of it than stayed in the container.

Then again, they're virtually spill-proof, since getting the lid off is only a bit easier than getting it on in the first place.

So... great for some things, but i'd look elsewhere for a small container to use with anything liquid.

2.0 out of 5 stars Interesting..., May 29, 2011

I finally got rid of these - they are so hard to close! They were great for on-the-go dressings & condiments, but weren't the most practical thing I ever purchased.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little cups, April 14, 2011

These cups were exactly what I was looking for! Yes, they are small, as the description clearly says, they hold 2oz, they are about the size of a shot glass. Good for salad dressing and other condiments, baby food, etc. The lids are tight-fitting but not impossibly difficult to get on as some other reviewers have said. They require a bit of finesse, not brute strength. You just have to go around the edge and gently push in on the top of the cup to get it into the grove in the lid, it took me about 15 seconds to figure out the trick, and maybe 5 seconds to get them on after that. They stay on very securely but aren't difficult to take off again when you want to.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too Small, Too Hard To Close, March 25, 2011

This review is from: Tupperware 6 Pc Midgets Set with Redish Seals (Kitchen)
I wanted tupperware containers small enough to pack snacks for my toddler, but I didn't realize just how small these containers were- they only hold about 2 oz. They are big enough to hold your salad dressing or other condiment, but that's about it. In other words, useless if you ask me. Also, as at least one other reviewer noted, the lids are impossible to get on. I tried for a few minutes and gave up. Mine are now in the trash.

2.0 out of 5 stars Nice cups, Bad tops, March 21, 2011

These would be fine except getting the top on takes a herculian effort. My wife cannot get them on at all, and I usually dump some of the contents while trying to twist and bend the top to fit. Seems like this is a common Tupperware problem now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!!, March 19, 2011

These are great. I already had some that were a gift that I use all the time and decided to get more at Amazon. The lids were a little tight but after putting the lids in some just boiled water for about 30 seconds (and taking them out very carefully) they fit right on the containers easily. No problem at all!! Hope this helps anybody who is thinking about sending them back because they can't get the lids on.

4.0 out of 5 stars tight is good, February 16, 2011

As others have mentioned, the lids are a tight fit but I consider this a good thing. I don't want the contents to spill! Brute force is not the best way to get the lids on. One technique that works fairly well for me is to make sure the lid is even all around and then use a twisting/screwing motion to get it on. But the easiest I've found is to run the lid under hot water for 10-15 seconds and then put it on. The hot water probably gives a combination of softening, expanding, and lubricating the lid. It's, dare I say, easy to get the lids on this way. I gave 4 stars because the lids really shouldn't require "tricks" to get on.
