Blade fell out on first use,

This review is from: Tupperware Twistable Peeler. Orange (Kitchen)
I am sure that this peeler would be fantastic (like other peelers produced by Tupperware), except that the blade fell out on mine on first use. Tupperware needs to perfect the design a lot more in order to ensure that the blade is wedged in enough to the 'holder' so that when you press on a potato or apple the blade doesn't just pop out. Such a shame, as having to pay for postage to get a free replacement on such a cheap item hardly makes it worthwhile in the long run.

Outstanding Until....,

I bought my peeler from Tupperware and it cut carrots, potatoes and cucumbers quickly and sharply UNTIL the blade dropped out of the plastic slots holding it in the handle as I peeled a cucumber the other day. It has had light use only because I rarely peel vegetables, I scrub them.
I contacted Tupperware for replacement - no problem. They will replace it but shipping is almost $6. This Tupperware peeler is the best I have ever used. I will not replace it due to the shipping cost and because I think it likely the replacement peeler will fail as well. Too bad....

Not worth it because of the twist option,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Tupperware Twistable Peeler. Orange (Kitchen)
I have both the original Tupperware peelers, one vertical and one horizontal, similar to this, but without the option to twist. I went looking for some as gifts because I love them and and saw this as and option and thought I would try it. It isn't for me. The mechanism that allows it to twist also allows it to twist too easily making it awkward to use.
Also my originals have blades with smooth edges on all sides. This version has a serrated edge on one of the blades and it doesn't peel so much as rip whatever it is you are trying to peel the skin off of. Go with the originals, either in the verticle or horizonal format, they work much better - even if you have to buy both of them they are worth it.
