Lid does not fit.,

We had one of these bowls last year, but destroyed it in a highly embarrasing oven accident. We ordered a new one and were surprised to discover that the lid does not actually fit on the bowl: it's too small. That's kinda the whole point of Tupperware, so it gets 1 star. We're shipping it back for a refund. There are now several recent reviews that all indicate this same problem - buyer beware.

I can't say enough good things about Tupperware. I first bought the Servalier set back in January 09 and loved it so much I added the Wonderlier as a complementary set a few months later. Now I added the Thasta Bowls both in 32 and 42 cup and I could not be happier; what a wonderful addition to my Tupperware collection! These bowls are BIG and extremely useful for large quantities of food (family gatherings, holidays, etc.) I find myself using these bowls often as I work long hours and cook once for the whole week. They are big enough to store a weeks worth of food and keep it fresh since each bowl has its own lid. Unlike other reviewers, I have not had any problems with the lids on these bowls (or the lids on any other Tupperware piece I own). The lids fit perfectly. As a matter of fact, I accidently dropped one of the bowls on the floor and the contents did not spill (even liquids). The bowls are very functional; I use them for storing, mixing, marinating and even displaying food right on my kitchen table. They are functional AND look good too! If you are looking for large capacity bowls with lids (so hard to find) these are the absolute best. And because it's Tupperware, they will last you a lifetime. My mother-in-law has had her Tupperware for over 35 years! After 3 kids and a lifetime of use and abuse, she STILL uses them (no joke). I mentioned this on my previous reviews of the Servalier and Wonderlier sets, respectively. This is why I started investing in the Tupperware brand myself. The bowls are dishwasher safe but NOT microwave safe.
1/8/11 I STILL love my Tupperware! Absolutely no issues almost 2 years later, not even food stains. I couldn't have said this about any other plastic storage brand. I'm sooo happy I made the investment. And my mother-in-law STILL uses her (almost) 40 year old Tupperware. I saw her use her favorite yellow Tupperware bowl this past Xmas (2010) to mix cookie dough. I swear, this stuff is amazing! Like roaches, Tupperware will clearly survive the next Apocalypse!

I saw the picture of the 32 cup bowl and wanted to get it as I DO use the larger bowls for baking needs. BUT the picture shows the bowl with lid and measuring cups on it. The description ofcourse does not list anything about the measuring cups, but with them in the picture, I thought that they were a "perk" when buying this bowl. I have purchased products in the past where you did receive added bonuses with your purchase. This is NOT the case here. If you buy this bowl, DO NOT LOOK for the items shown in the picture other than the bowl and lid itself. Why the measuring cups are in the picture is beyond me. The product itself is wonderful and I LOVE it. I own both the 42 and 32 cup bowls and use them for baking projects of specialty breads and large receipes. They are durable and not short on stability when mixing. Good thick and sturdy bowls. You will NOT be disappointed when purchasing this item. Will last you for many decades. No kidding! The last bowl of this size that was purchased in my family was back in the 60's when my mother bought her large yellow bowl from Tupperware. That bowl was lost with all our moving around over the past ten years. I finally broke down and bought this cause I missed not having it to use when baking. Now I will have this to pass on to my girls. That is how long they last!!

I gave two bowls as gifts, and I did not know about the covers not fitting until my recipients told me many months later--too late to send them back. I am looking for two properly fitting covers, but no luck.

I used to love Tupperware. The last bowl I received was through a school fund raiser a few years back (24 cup bowl). The lid not fit and with it being fundraiser material, I did not return it. It is a real nice size for baking anyway. Well here I am several years later and I just bought this 32 cup big bowl, lo and behold, the lid does not fit!!! What were the odds!! Now I have to mail it back to amazon and I will never make another tupperware purchase again.

I had a large bowl that I accidentally melted and couldn't replace until I found this one. It is so awesome. This Tupperware bowl holds 32 cups and is great for "big" salads. I received this bowl very quickly and am very satisfied. Bring on the family reunions!

I already knew that I loved this bowl. I have one so I ordered this one for my daughter for Christmas (she asked for it so she wouldn't need to borrow mine all the time). The price I paid through Amazon was cheaper for me than trying to track down a Tupperware Representative in my area and paying their price. I was impressed with how quickly this was sent out.

My mom already had one of these, so I knew I would love it. The size is great and the interior is coated so things don't stick making it very easy to quickly clean. I would highly recommend this product.
