I don't know what the person was talking about when they said it was too big..I've had bigger ones. But this one is perfect. I love that you can flip the base and it has the dividers in it. Perfect for holding 18 cupcakes secure, haha! I just needed a simple cake carrier to take all my cakes and pastries home from pastry school and this is 100% perfect for that. Love this cake carrier! I would definitely reccomend it to anyone looking for a good one. I like the sturdy quality of it.

The item appeared to be well made -- as you would expect from a Tupperware product -- and I liked that the sides were straight and not tapered and that it was 8" high. However, the measurements given in the product description lead me to believe that the overall diameter was 14" as it stated 14" X 14" X 8". However, upon arrival I discovered it was 14" to the outer edges of the handles -- thus not having the overall dimensions I was counting on. What can I say, I make big and tall cakes (smile) -- and, unfortunately, have yet to find something that has the diameter AND the height I'm really looking for.

I have an older Tupperware cake carrier that is perfect! It's really big -- only, it does not have any way of locking the top in place -- which is problematic sometimes as you could imagine.

I was really excited about the newer Tupperware item, but instantly discovered that it was not as big as I had expected -- so I returned it.

Another one of my "impulse buys" . (someone's GOTTA take my Amazon card away from me!)

I'm sure this is a great thing to have...IF you have one of those big kitchens like the Housewives of New Jersey have. But mine is REALLY,REALLY small & this thing is big enough to hide my T.V. in.(well, not really but it is so large that there is no cupboard in my kitchen big enough to hold it...I have to keep this cake thing in the hall closet along with the vacuum cleaner, the suitcase, & the big fluffy goat rug I bought 30 years ago in Greece.)

Today I made a yummy chocolate bundt cake & I've lost it somewhere in the "cake taker" thing. It's there...but it looks like a cupcake sitting all alone on a turkey platter.

On the PLUS side, my sig. other can't figure out how to open the thing so,that chocolate cake? ...IT'S ALL MINE!!!!!!!

P.S. Five stars for doing the job though. You could put your cake in the bottom of the trunk,then stack the spare tire, a tool box,& a bicycle on top of it and your cake would still be fine. Good product.

The old style was flat on top. This enabled me to invert the item and use it to store cookies, salad mixed (without dressing), etc. Additionally, I feel the old style handle was safer. I don't see how this newer style can be used for anything other than keeping a cake or pie. I, personally, would not trust the handles unless I also held my hand on the bottom of the item.

This carrier is a classic that will never be outdated. I absolutely love it. It is large enough to carry your very best 3 or 4 layer cake. It is heavy & made of fine heavy plastic. No matter where I go, people are always commenting about it. That does seem odd as Tupperware has been around for centuries & available to everyone. I love mine so much that I actually bought another one. The pie taker is actually the cake taker with inserts in it for two pies. I highly recommend this product. It is worth every penny that you pay for it. It will last for years to come.

Since I purchased this cake carrier, I find I use it all the time. It is very easy to clean, and the cakes stay right in the middle of the carrier. Any Tupperware I have owned has lasted for many, many years despite repeated usage.

This product is the perfect cake carrier. I make a six-layer torte that my family adores and most carriers are not tall enough to hold this cake. This carrier holds the torte with ease - and room to spare. Easy to use and just love it!

Tupperware is expensive but obviously a cut above the competition. Whether you think the cost is worth it to you is your decision. I like it.

Well designed and has a great lock-in feature.Like Goldie said, "Not too big and not too small, just right." A five star indeed.

I haven't used it much since getting it, but the time I have it beat my expectations. My last one was warped and took brute strength to close it but to my surprise that is not an issue with the new one. Shipping and delivery was very fast.
