boiling does help,

Lids were very tight. I followed the advice in another review about boiling them for 10 minutes and then replacing lids while they are cooling. Worked great. One thing I didn't read in the review was that the lids will pop off because of the difference in temp/pressure. Makes sense, but scared me each time it happened.

I use these every day for salad dressing in my lunch at work. I shared this with a friend and we each got 4 of them. They fit nicely in the tupperware along the salad. Love them!!!
