Tupperware Super Crisp It Lettuce Keeper

Upon buying the lettuce keeper, I would throw away many heads of lettuce because it would go bad before I was able to use the whole thing. I have found that since then, the lettuce stays fresh and lasts twice as long. This was definitely well worth the money and would recommend it to anyone who doesn't already own one. I am actually purchasing another one for my mother-in-law.

The lid that came with the bottom part did not fit, no matter how hard I tried to close it tightly, it wouldn't work and I was very disappointed in the product especially since I have always been a fan of Tupperware.

The cover does not fit properly. Even after soaking it in hot water as suggested, it's a bear to get on and doesn't seem to stay put. The insert on my old lettuce keeper somehow got tossed out with the old lettuce, so I'm using the new insert in the old container. I've had the old lettuce keeper for over 30 years and still using it - with the new insert.

I, like a lot of other people had the old "vintage" lettuce keeper that Tupperware made 30-40 years ago. Also, like a lot of other people.....mine disappeared during home moves. After "making do" with containers and realizing how much I missed the lettuce keeper.....I decided to shop for another one. Unfortunately, newer is not always better. I had trouble with the lid on this one from the beginning. Tried putting it in hot water and it worked slightly better. However, when removing it from the fridge (after lid had gotten cold)....it was impossible to get it to fit properly. So....have sent it back. Am very sorry Tupperware changed this design.

I had one of these & in the process of moving lost the bowl but not the lid. This product keeps our lettuce fresh for over a week.

i've had something similar to this for over 20 years...maybe rubbermade ?...but basically the same thing...little disk on the bottom to keep the lettuce out of any moisture and a tight seal to keep air from drying it out...not particularly rocket science...but i was amazed that lettuce could be kept for 2 weeks like this and it was fine..i just place the lettuce in it and set it on a shelf in the fridge...mine didnt have the spike that looks like it goes through the core but i'm sure it wouldnt matter much...the point is to keep it out of moisture and air from drying it out...and it has consistantly works great for me.

Received tupperware super crisp it in great condition and in a timely manner. I bought it as a gift for my sister who had bought one over 30 years ago. It was a product that she loved but after several moves, it was misplaced. Now she has this fine product once again. Thanks

I have had the original tupperware lettuce crisper for over 35 years. Over time the lid warped beyone hope. I bought the new and bigger crisper and it's much better. It is bigger all around and even the lid had a large dome that better accommodates large heads of lettuce. Thye lid fits very snugly too. I like it a lot.

The lettuce keeper does a great job of keeping lettuce fresh, if you can get the lid on. I know Tupperware lids have always been a bit clumsy to use, but this is the worst I have ever seen. It is a real job to get the lid to seal, if you have arthritis in your hands, it is almost impossible.

I grew up with the vintage version of this thing (same thing, just green lid and maybe bowl too). Anyways, all I can really say about this is although it is expensive, it is worth it! It keeps your lettuce fresher and crisper much longer than if you just keep it in another ordinary container and this thing will last for ever! The one I gew up with is still in the family and it must be over 30+ years old!
