Product Description

Add carbon dioxide to your aquarium by using the Turbo-Jet CO2 Reactor from www. petstore. com. This reactor has a unique double spray design. It has upper turbo currents that trap CO2 on top and lower jet streams that fix water saturated with CO2 at the bottom. It is equipped with a bio-media that captures and dissolves CO2. For better results, you can use this reactor together with a pump or an internal filter. Proper stocking and maintenance of your fish tanks are essential in keeping the carbon dioxide at the minimum. The Turbo-Jet CO2 Reactor is ideal for medium sized aquariums carrying approximately 20 to 60 gallons of water. Its flow rate runs at the speed of 100-300 gallons per hour. This reactor is compact in size, measuring only two inches in diameter and ten inches in height. It is designed primarily to be set up inside the tank or in sump because it is potted.

This CO2 reactor works great, although a bit cheaply made. But it's the lowest priced reactor and very effective. I only hope you do NOT buy it based on the description of Petstore.com. This description is absolutely ridiculous and dangerous!! A CO2 reactor is bought to bring MORE CO2 to the water. The problem with (bubble) diffusers is that not all CO2 is dissolved in the water, so (expensive) CO2 is lost and you have to replace your CO2 canister more frequently. After replacing the bubble diffuser by this reactor, I had to reduce drastically the bubble count. This reactor dissolves ALL the CO2, which means that you save on CO2 from you CO2 tank.

I informed Petstore about their wrong, ridiculous and dangerous description, but they are totally non-responsive! Guess it is not a petstore at all. So ignore "Free your aquarium water from harmful carbon dioxide by using the Turbo-Jet CO2 Reactor from [...] petstore. com." and only buy it if you realize what a CO2 reactor will do.
