It all started innocently enough. Again the LaFont family wouldmeet in the basement of Richmond Community Church to celebrateThanksgiving. With Dad and Mom, their four grown daughters andtheir families, the mob was more than any one house could hold.After enjoying a delicious meal we began to search for something to dobut this year no one was interested in board games. WithChristmas music playing in the background, Glenna, the eldest sister,remarked that it was a shame that Christmas was the only holiday withit's own music. And with that innocent statement, Turkey Carolingcame into being. Using traditional Christmas Carol tunes,Thanksgiving words were set to music. And thus a tradition wasborn!

Turkey Carols is a compilation of fun Thanksgiving songs born in thehearts (and slightly warped minds) of 23 family members ranging in agefrom 1 year old to 67 years old. The book was born out of a deeplove of music and a loose grip on sanity. Each contributingmember is proud to call Turkey Carols their first published work and itis their hope that you will sing along and serenade your family andfriends just as they did that first Thanksgiving several years ago.
