Customer Reviews

The wood for the handle is definitely nothing special.

There are many elements to making great coffee with a cezve, beginning mostly with the right grounds.

I'm thinking the two high ratings came from folks who work for the company or something.

There's a possibility I just got a bad one, but I don't know how quality control let this one by. The handle was cracked and there was drips of dried glue all over the handle. It looked like the piece of wood they used for the handle was a bit too short and slightly odd shaped but they didn't care and just stuck it on anyway (or a piece of the wood broke off and it was a horrible attempt to fix it). It was a piece of junk. Didn't look anywhere near as nice as the picture. Needless to say, I returned it.

Just received this yesterday. it looks like something you'd pick up at a used flea market for $5. I'm thinking the two high ratings came from folks who work for the company or something. It's super thin, has marks all over it, the rivets are all off, the wood was super cheap. just poor poor quality. I'm returning today.

This pot seems to be very well made, and I love the fact that it was hand hammered and therefore a bit rustic looking. So far we've enjoyed making our own Turkish coffee. Very pleased with product.

I have used it on the stove about 20 times and on hot coals from a fire twice and it makes a great cup of coffee each time.

Excellent Cezve(Turkish Coffee Pot). The design is really traditional and elegant. The wooden handle is also perfect to prevent itself from getting really hot. 10/10 overall, what can I say!

Although you can get a soorjaman/cheve at most Armenian/Turkish/Arabic/Greek deli/markets, I wanted to pick from a selection, so I tried Amazon. Well this pot has some pros and cons and other things to consider, but overall I love it, and even my mom was impressed by the looks and she has been making coffee for a long time

PROS:

-Beautiful copper color pot
-Nice wood handle doesn't get hot
-Coffee rinses out with no scrubbing

CONS:

-Very light, hard to balance on gas burner stove (depending on what style metal top you have over the burners, the rounded ones would work better than mine
-Only fits two cups comfortably, not really a con if you live by yourself
-Copper is a bit thin, I think I'd prefer a heavier weight but it doesn't warp or anything

This was a gift and I was very excited as the gift giver knows I love Turkish coffee. When I opened the package I was so excited when I saw the hammered copper and thought it was gorgeous! Then I looked at it a little more closely and it was a huge disappointment. The handle is glued on with massive amounts of glue which is running down the pot. There is solder all over, including inside on the bottom of the pot. The wood for the handle is definitely nothing special. Such a disappointment. It really does look like something you would pay $5 for at a flea market. I'm not comfortable using it due to the solder in the bottom.

In the past I had an Iranian gentleman who owned a Mediterranean coffee shop show me how to make Turkish coffee and have always wanted the correct pot to make my own. Bottom line this pot is well made and serves up a cup of coffee, (which for me is more like 12+oz). The handle is a bit loose since it only has one rivet holding it to the pot stem, when it arrived it was in a tall box requiring the handle to be bent to what is shown in the picture. The wood handle is finished well yet I would not suggest the pot to be cleaned by any other means than hand washing.
