This review is from: Turkish Coffee Pot (cezve/ibrik) Large 12 oz
I like this ibrik. It is large enough for two cups of coffee. Very comfortable handle. Perfect look with beautiful and high-quality painted decoration.
The only thing I don't like - the inner cover of the pot peeled off.

Good Ibrik/Cesve,
This review is from: Turkish Coffee Pot (cezve/ibrik) Large 12 oz
This cezve is very good. It is very beautiful, although the one I got looked like it may have been used before (some scratching), that may have just come from shipping. It makes great coffee, I feel it heats very evenly. The wood handle is very convenient.
Please note, this is a cezve and does not make american style coffee or espresso. It makes turkish/arab style coffee, this is usually served in 3 oz cups. The 12 oz. pot size is good for creating 2 servings, you do not fill it up to the top and some grounds will remain in the pot. The grounds are totally unfiltered and the coffee is strong. For detailed instructions/directions on how to make this coffee, please visit http://www.turkishcoffeeworld.com/How_to_make_Turkish_Coffee_s/54.htm they have a good recipe and variations, I prefer to make mine with milk.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Turkish Coffee Pot (cezve/ibrik) Large 12 oz
I love this ibrik. It's gorgeous, and it's still in one piece after heavy use, which is impressive for anything bought on Amazon. I am a hardcore coffee addict, so I bought this a few weeks ago as an emergency substitute for my broken espresso maker. Cuisinart is taking its sweet time sending out a replacement espresso maker, but screw them, I don't even care - because this thing is FABULOUS.
One thing to note, however - it holds exactly 12 oz of fluid (I checked using a measuring cup) but does not actually make a 12oz cup of coffee. Being in a rush and totally uninformed about making turkish coffee, I saw "Large" in the product listing and thought, "Hey, I'm an addict. I guess the 12 oz pot is perfect!" Silly me. Since you have to leave room for the foam to rise in the neck of the ibrik, and avoid pouring out the last few drops as they will be mostly grounds, this makes one 6-8 oz cup or a few 2 oz cups if you're entertaining a guest.... unless I'm still doing it completely wrong or got the wrong size. I was a little disappointed to learn this, but I won't take off a star for my own ignorance.
