1.0 out of 5 stars Eye Candy Cover, but impossible to read., October 12, 1999
This review is from: Turkish Meat: An Erotic Novel (Paperback)
Unless you are desperate for a book of this subject, this book is a waste of time and money. It has a very unrealistic plot (I realize many of this genre do, and this is no exception), and the writing is horrible. It reads as if the authour either wrote it in a foriegn language and then had someone try to translate it, or he tried to write in a language he was not fully fluent in. This book has limited appeal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hot, sweaty sex with Turkish masseurs, military officers etc, October 17, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Turkish Meat: An Erotic Novel (Paperback)
Take two hunky European hitchhikers, add in non-stop, unrelenting sexual adventures with a mix of Turkish hunks: truck driver, bath masseurs, military officers. That;s this book - a real Turkish delight!! It's fun and a terrific stroke book. Kvaale is a master at this genre - and this is better than his other book Legionnaire. I especially liked the hot public sex scenes.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Book is why I got Divorced, August 19, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Turkish Meat: An Erotic Novel (Paperback)
I think the cover says it all. I was lonely and confused before I read this book. I was stuck in a dry marriage with a woman I didn't (couldn't) love in the way she wanted. I liked her very much, but not in the way that married people usually do. I felt ashamed, worthless, and a complete failure. What made it worse was that my wife refused to get mad, she just said that she could wait for me to sort out my feelings. Then one day, as I was in a laundromat, I happened across this book, 'Turkish Meat', that someone had left behind. I was glued from the first page. After I folded my laundry, I went across the street to a bar that I had always wanted to go to, but never had the courage to overcome the fear that somebody I might know would see me. Now, I didn't care. I sat right up at the bar and continued to read, faster and faster with the anticipation building. A couple of gentlemen came over to try to talk with me, but I politely explained to them that I was very much into my book, and would like to continue reading it. I did until Bill came along. He resembles the blonde on the cover and I just had to talk to him. He bought me a strawberry Daquiri, and then revealed that he also had read 'Turkish Meat', and I had gotten to the part about the bathhouse yet? I said no, not yet but it had been hinted at throughout the book, and I was excited to find out what happened. Bill just smiled and said he could do better, he could show me exactly what happens. I felt a little nervous, but deep down I was excited too. To walk on the forbidden side was tantalizing to say the least. I let him lead me a few blocks away to a door with no signs or windows. If you've read the book, then you know what happened next. When we left, I went home to my wife, and explained that I figured out what my -our- problem was. She said she was happy for me, but also a little sad, because it meant that she'd lose me, but that now we could truly be friends. She was right, of course. And I never saw Bill again, but everytime I reread my well-handled copy I can remember that night, and shiver at the thought of 'Fists of Love'. Do yourself a favor, and read this book.
