whilst its not really my sort of music, i borrowed the cd off a friend after seeing them live. i was initially concerned that in spite of being great live, they may be too wannabe indie and cool to actually put their all into a cd, but its a fine album. i'd say that the first 8 tracks are great, then maybe they start to fade a little in the end tracks. its a first cd to be proud of. highlights are london bridge, tuned to a different station and tarred and feathered. the music is a stylish blend of the libertines and razorlight, with a touch of blur, and if you are a libertines fan who isn't too impressed by babyshambles, then i'd definitely recommend it.

Superb straight ahead Punk n Roll. Intelligent and smart as well as loud and angry.
Think The Jam at their tuneful loudest rather than the dad rock of Weller and you won't be far wrong.

This is a great underground band, and it's just another great thing that comes from England. I will admit, it slows down a bit at times, but that's what Tuned to a Different Station is for. Other than that, this is definitely worth listening to if you like fast paced rock.

Dogs are brilliant, I can't believe this band is not much bigger by now. This album as well as the follow-up (Tall Stories from Under the Table, 2007, Weekender) are both very well-done post-punk contributions, and I'm convinced we can expect more great things from this group in the future.

COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!! Dogs are brilliant. every track is great, its tiring listening to turn against this land because its full of energy, anger, blood, sweat and tears. oh yeah, and balls. the first song i heard was tuned to a different station and i knew straight away i loved dogs. london bridge - what an opener! johnny cooke spits the lyrics at you with that snarl of his and it sounds great. this band make 1 heck of a noise, and begs 2 be turned up louder and louder. theres some proper cack music around, a band like dogs would steamroll the likes of the kaisers, franz, keane, coldplay etc into oblivion. also i saw dogs live at london ULU and yes they are a sight and sound to behold.
