A lot of people seem to look down on a band the moment they're not out of the states or something. As if canadian music cannot be as good as the one from our neighbors to the south... Well this time they get proved wrong beautifully! This Winnipeg band put out an awesome record... Solid hardcore, full of sing-alongs and such. The singer's voice isn't a deep one wich I surprisingly liked a lot. There's nothing wrong with this record, it's just a really solid and good one. You'll sing along, you'll mosh and if you're canadian...you'll be proud!

This band blew me away the first time I heard them. This is just some great hardcore. They remind me of Bane and Stretch Arm Strong but unique in their own right. Every song is a hardcore anthem that you just can't help but like. There's really not much more to say. If you like hardcore, you will not be disappointed with the Comeback Kid.

yeah, i'm not here to write some long review saying how much everyone should love this album...i'm here to write a review stating how much I loved this album.

and i did...i loved it.

so if you're into stuff like bane, kids like us, anchors away, maybe even TERROR and you don't already have this album, it would be a good idea for someone like you to pick it up.

got this cd summer of last year...it still makes it's way into my cd player almost 4 times a week...good and raw hardcore fun...they have some metalcore breakdowns but they don't go any farther than that...sounds like champion and chain of strength put into a blender...

Heiling from Winnipeg, Canada, COMEBACK KID features 2 members of Figure Four and musically can be recommended for fans of Carry On, Bane, Reach The Sky and Ensign. Fast, straight forward hardcore is what you will find on this 13 track debut! A mighty fine hardcore punk CD, and it is definately a must own.

This is still one of my all time favorite hardcore albums. I wish bands like this defined the hardcore scene, rather than being one of the rare beacons of what could be of this scene.

Heavier than wake the dead, but both are excellent albums. Fans of Strech, Bane, Carry On, Casey Jones, you should already know and love this album!

Now that they have a new singer this album is all the more important to know.

I got this CD after purchasing Wake the Dead. This CD can't even be compared to their second album. Wake the Dead is good and a great piece of catchy hardcore, but this CD is just so much better. The breakdowns are brutal and so refreshing. It's good to know that there are still bands out there that play good hardcore like Comeback. These guys are great live, and I recommend that everyone should see them. Buy either albums, they are both good, but this one is booming.

this kid below me hates cbk, yet he posts as a "GC Fan". gimme a break. This, along with a few of my bane cds, is my favorite hardcore album. Thats pretty serious since i have over 500 cds, half of which are straight up hardcore. This album is fantastic, if you love melodic hardcore with melodies and breakdowns, this is the perfect album. Much better than Wake the Dead. Pick this up

this is the best, most refreshing debut since champions come out swinging. for those sick of metal killing our scene, but still love heavy breakdowns and enough back up vocals and sing alongs to keep the heart going. thirteen songs of love loss regret, freindship.

You will either buy this cd, or ...of regret when you hear it at your friends house. One of the best and most played cds I have. It will have you floorpunchin' in you living room.
