Life & Love,
By
This review is from: Turn Gently My Pages (Spiral-bound)
Turn Gently my Pages is a very well written and thought provoking rendition of Life and Love. It cuts right to the chase of what each of us is ultimately looking for; To love & be loved! That's how GOD created us all. The author seems to have an inside track to the heart and mind of GOD in regards to what he meant as TRUE LOVE.

A Beautiful Read,

I enjoyed the book immensely, it was insightfully romantic. My husband and I read the book together. It brought back passion that had been missing in our marriage, that seemed to have diminished through the years. The book touched my soul. I highly recommend this book, it was romantic and passionate.

"Turn Gently My Pages," A "Pashonate" Start,
By Michelle "M" (St. Louis, MO USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Turn Gently My Pages (Spiral-bound)
Carol A. Jackson takes you on a "pashonate" (turn on her word)journey of love & desire in her first book of poetry, "Turn Gently My Pages." The design is beautiful with spiral bound covers of varying shades of red. The covers invite you into the romantic. The pages are watermarked with the title, so the reader is enticed to do just that - turn "gently" her pages.
As for the poetry itself, it is too prosy and filled with cliches. It could stand more editing. In a few places, I questioned her choices of words. There are very few literary surprises. Her young writing is still quite predictable. The couplet, "Married Hearts, United Souls," suffers from elementary rhyme. However, I greatly enjoyed, "My Gentlewoman." I think it is the one poem that approaches a poetic flow. "When You Lay Upon Me," is erotically hot! "It's All About You," evokes strong emotion and feeling. For a first-time publishing, it is worth the read, for it illicits sensuality and hope for love.

depth of passion,

Carol writes with such depth, so much passion. While reading this book of poetry, you will journey through your own passion as the honesty of Carol's words penetrate you. You will remember what love is and what it can be. Carol reveals the deepest and most intimate part of passion that is in her heart and soul. After reading the first poem I was sold. I highly recommend this to anyone who is in love or wants to know what love is and how it can be. I have read this book three times and have shown many of my friends this beautiful book, written by such a beautiful womyn. Honestly, this is a very well written book of her passionate heart. 2 thumbs up ladies.

This book deals with life, longings, and emotional heart tugs. The experience the author reveals is remarkable, insightful and delightful. I have read the book twice and sent it to four of my close friends. It is easy for me to say they will be proud owners of a book that satisfies both male and female points of view with passion. I will read it when I need inspiration and a reminder that getting in touch with ones self makes life easier, more fulfilled and promising. A Keeper!

I thought that the poems by Ms. Jackson were expressed wonderfully. I lost myself in them from beginning to end. These are poems to be shared with the "special someone" in our lives. It reminds you of how wonderful love is and should be. Very well written and edited!

As the author takes us through dreams of passion with her poetry, we experience the dreams we each have of loving and being loved. Definitely to be read slowly and with much contemplation.

Totally Exposed,

All of Jackson's poems are filled with such passion and raw emotion. She totally exposes herself and is not afraid to share her experiences with the world. After reading her works, I feel as if I have walked the path of her personal journey with her and hope that more works will be forthcoming.
